Loose Figures
Kenner first released a total of 6 individual figures. 4 were available on the card--Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Toht and Cairo Swordsman. 1 was available in the Map Room playset--Indiana Jones in desert disguise. 1 was available through a mail away offer--Belloq in Ceremonial Robe. All were fully articulated and came with various accessories. The articulation points more closely matched those of Kenner's "Butch and Sundance" line of figures as opposed to Kenner's best seller, the Star Wars line. All figures were jointed at the neck, shoulders hips and knees, except Marion who was not jointed at the knees. The offset hip joints and knee joints allowed the figures to take a better seated position. Such joints were probably used so that the figures could be better posed on the upcoming Arabian Horse accessory.
In Kenner's second wave of figures, they released 6 additional figures including 4 more on card--Sallah, Indy in German Uniform, German Mechanic and Belloq--and 2 more with the Streets of Cairo playset--Monkey Man and another Marion Ravenwood. All were articulated as above except for the Marion Ravenwood figure which was a single piece of plastic molded in the crouched position. After the second wave of figures, no more were produced.
Each figure came with various accessories which very often were lost to the sandboxes of time. I have set up this loose figure guide so you can use it as reference to hopefully identify any items missing from your figures. At the moment it is not totally complete but eventually I hope to make it comprehensive.
