After a short walk, Docker made his way to his waiting Jeep and started it up. There was a lot to do, and little time to do it, not all of it business. There was a backpack on the seat next to him as he made his way to the secret lab where they were doing their experiments. There was something in there that a certain young child was going to get because he deserved it.

Another 10 minutes passed by in silence as Docker contemplated what he was about to do. His actions weren't going to win him any more friends, but it was something that he just felt he needed to do. He didn't get this far by being Mr. Popular, and he wasn't about to start now. As he pulled his Jeep off onto a dirt road, Docker knew what he needed to do. He stopped in front of a black building, similar to the one DELTA was hunting for, and got out. After putting on a silencer on his gun and tucking it away in his specially made holster, Docker pulled the backpack from the passenger side seat and entered the building.

As he made his way to the main testing area, Docker saw on a monitor that was mounted just outside of the door that the head scientist and his assistant were just about to inject Logan Richardson with one of their serums. Docker kicked his way into the room and faced the startled scientists in front of him.

"Experiment's over, doc." Docker said with a hint of menace in his voice. "The kid comes with me."

"Impossible. Noonan gave us one more day with the child." The assistant told Docker, who showed no expression towards the young man as he stepped in front of Docker.

With the impatience of swatting a fly, Docker threw the assistant aside into a table full of the substance in the syringe that the doctor was holding. "The kid comes with me, now." Docker told the head scientist. "Or are you going to try to stop me also?"

The head scientist held both hands up and stepped away from young Logan with slight hesitant steps. "He's all yours, Docker."

"Is he good to go?" Docker asked, looking down at the frightened eyes of the youth.

"He's in excellent health." The head scientist said. "We found what we were looking for and he hasn't been adversely affected. We just needed to give him this last shot to confirm our findings before recording them and our work would have been done."

Docker unslung the backpack from his shoulder and lifted Logan from the exam table down to the floor. "In this backpack is a brand new CD player and some CD's. Wait for me outside."

Logan looked up at Docker with a mixture of suspicion and happiness. As soon as he saw that what Docker said was true, he silently gave Docker a big hug and ran out of the testing room to wait for him. Docker gave Logan a reassuring smile and watched him leave the room. As soon as the child was gone, the smile disappeared from Docker's face as he turned towards the two scientists.

"What you're telling me is that the experimental logs are incomplete?"

The head scientist scowled, "Thanks to you, yes. The results that we logged are incomplete. We didn't find our missing link until an hour ago."

Docker nodded, and rubbed his chin. "That's too bad." he said, as he pulled out his gun and silencer.

"Wha...." the assistant started to say as Docker put a bullet into his brain, followed by a shot to the heart of the lead scientist. Docker reholstered his gun and went to the main terminal within the room. Taking out a diskette from his pocket, Docker uploaded a virus that would turn whatever results the two dead men on the ground had reported into nothing but gibberish. The next thing Docker did was to set a bomb in the 2nd backpack he had to destroy the black building in 10 minutes. Docker left the complex to find a smiling Logan Richardson sitting in the passenger seat of his Jeep listening to his new CD's.

[2:25 pm - On the way to the Richardson's home]

Docker was watching for the turnoff into the Richardson's home when he noticed Agent Foster in his rear-view mirror following behind him. A moment of panic swept through Docker until he remembered that Foster hadn't really seen him before, and thus wouldn't recognize him if he walked up to her and introduced himself. As he glanced into his rear-view mirror once again, he saw that she wasn't alone. A third glance confirmed that one of the missing agents, Cohen, was in the car with her. They would be of no consequence to him since Cohen wouldn't remember anything and Foster, well... she was a rookie. He had no quarrel with her..... yet.

When he came to the Richardson's turnoff, he saw September glance towards his direction for a moment before she disappeared from his sight. A few minutes later saw the Richardson home looming up in front of him. The family car wasn't there, so Mr. Richardson was gone somewhere.

"Good." Docker thought to himself, "I want to deal with him later."

Logan's eyes grew wide as he recognized his home. "We're home!" he said with delight. As soon as the Jeep came to a stop, Logan hopped out and ran into his mother's arms. She cried as she picked him up and held him close to her.

Docker came forward and flashed his "badge" to Mrs. RIchardson, "Agent Docker, FBI ma'am. We found out where they were holding your son, and not a moment too soon I see."

Mrs. Richardson gave a weak smile as she hugged Logan close to her, "Thank you so much, Agent Docker. You don't know how much this means to me, getting my son back."

Docker gave her his most reassuring smile, "Oh, I think I can relate. But we're not out of the woods yet. Some of the people who kidnapped him may try to find him here. Do you have any relatives that live far from here?"

Confused by Docker's question, Mrs. Richardson asked, "Don't you mean nearby?"

"No, Mrs. Richardson." Docker said in all seriousness. "These men will have thought of that and look for you there also. I do mean far from Pennsylvania."

Jesse Richardson thought for a moment and then said, "I have a sister in Los Angeles. Is that far enough?"

"That'll do." Docker said, "Take the keys to my Jeep and drive to the airport in Scranton. There'll be someone waiting for you with tickets to LA. Please hurry, and tell no one where you're heading to. If these people could get to your son once, they'll use anyone to get to him again."

"But what about my husband?" Jesse Richardson asked.

"I'll be here to tell him." Docker said, putting one arm around her shoulder. "Don't you worry about anything. Now, go." Turning to Logan, who was peeking at Docker over his mother's shoulder. "And you, enjoy your new CD Player."

Docker waited in front of the Jeep as Logan was strapped into the passenger seat and Mrs. Richardson started it up. As they pulled out of the drive, Docker saw young Logan waving goodbye to him. A disconcerting pang of sadness pulled at Docker for a brief second before he got ready for his meeting with Sterling Richardson.

[2:45 pm, Richardson's residence]

Docker looked at his watch as he heard a car come racing up the driveway. It wouldn't be, or at least it shouldn't be, anyone from Delta since they should still be reeling from the bomb he had planted in Newt's suitcase. He smiled a little at that, thinking that the gas bomb was a much better idea than his original idea of planting some of Newt's female associates lingerie inside. Although, it would have been pretty funny to see how Newt would've tried to explain the presence of his fellow female agent's underwear in his suitcase.

"Oh well, maybe next time." Docker thought, with a shrug.

As Richardson pulled into the driveway, he seemed extremely surprised to see Docker standing by his front door. Docker saw him reach across to his glove compartment to take something out before he got out of his car. Soon, Sterling Richardson had Docker in the sights of his automatic as Docker just stood there nonchalantly watching him.

"Where's my family?" Sterling Richardson asked, looking around to see if there was anyone else in the surroundings.

Docker smiled at Richardson's nervousness. "They're safe, now that they're away from you."

Richardson looked at Docker evenly and said, "What do you mean? You're the killer, not me."

"At least I don't use my own kids for experiments." Docker said, a steel glint in his eyes. Richardson looked nervously on as Docker crossed his arms across his chest. "I told your lovely wife how you delivered young Logan for the tests. You could imagine how distraught she was when she heard that, and how I had to .... comfort her."

"You bastard!" Sterling yelled at Docker, his finger wanting to pull the trigger but something inside preventing him from doing so. "If you so much as touched my wife....."

Docker smiled even more as he felt his hand grip the gun in his holster. "Oh, I did more than touch her, Sterling. In fact, I kind of enjoyed the way she touched me. Go ahead, pull the trigger. You'll never find out where I took them."

Richardson shook with rage, tears blinding his vision as Docker became blurred in his eyes. When Docker made his move, Richardson was blinded by his tears to see Docker take out his gun and let loose two shots. Besides rage, the last thing Richardson felt was two bullets tearing into his body, ripping apart his heart.

Docker stood over the lifeless body of Sterling Richardson and shook his head. "And people call me heartless....." he said as he climbed into Richardson's car and drove away from World's End National Park, hopefully for good.
