Cody contemplated the events of he last week in his head. From a very brief visit to Station X to being thrown headfirst into Unit Bravo's case, that became far more complicated than anyone could dream. Two agents being shot, one fatally, the other one still in a coma. Fuller and his family dead, killed by terrorists employed by an anti-terrorist organization. The raid on the warehouse. (He could still feel the throbbing of the wound in his side, although it didn't bother him.) Then, at the last minute, rushing in and saving the day, and the president. Being a part of the X-files sure was "interesting".
And now he sat here in the Hollow, with a new team, and new team members. He really didn't like meeting new people. He never really trusted anyone. But when he was in Bravo, they had gotten new members all the time. He hoped that wouldn't happen too often in this unit. For now, he would just try and stay close to Agent Williams, who he already knew a little. Then he'd see, as time went by.
He looked over at Agent Williams. She looked distressed. Something was definately wrong. Should he ask her? He thought about it for a while, then he got up. He leaned over towards her and said in a low voice:
"Williams, can I talk to you for a sec?"
She got up and followed him outside.
"Are you OK?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she replied. Not very convincigly.
"You sure? 'Cause you don't seem fine."
A single tear ran down her cheek.
"I'm just a little upset after Calderon's death."
"I can understand it was quite a shock. I mean with all the blood. It's not a pretty sight, I know," he said, trying to comfort her.
"Yeah," she said, almost in a whisper.
Cody felt very uncomfortable. He looked at the small woman in front of him. (At 6'4", Cody thought pretty much everyone was small.) He didn't know how to comfort her. He couldn't even try. His experience with women was limited to fooling around in high school, and a short fling during his last year as a legionnare.
"Um, well, " he started. "I'm gonna go down to forensics and see what they've found on the murder scene. Call me if anything happens, will ya."
Randa nodded.
"Oh, and if you leave before I get back, grab me a cheeseburger and a large Sprite, all right?"
She smiled, and nodded again.
"Sure thing," she said and went back inside.
Cody watched her as she did. "She's kinda cute," he thought to himself.
With that, he turned and went back to the JEH Building.

Agent Fitzgerald just finished the report when Agent Cody Hunt of the X-files Division walked in.
"Oh, hello, Agent Hunt. How's the X-files treating ya?"
"All right, I guess. 'Ve just been shot one time, so..."
"That's nice. Now what can I do you for?"
"What you got on the Calderon murder?"
Fitz put on his glasses and reached for a file.
"Not much I'm afraid. Although we've come up with something rather peculiar."
Cody leaned over the desk.
"Some of those guys were dead."
"Hell, I know that. I killed three of them myself. And the rest of them were killed by this Docker character," Cody said with a frown.
"No, I mean they were all Marines who were killed in action many years ago."
"What?" Cody exclaimed. He could hardly believe what he had just heard.
"Yes, and from the autopsies we can believe that. They had bullet scars all over their bodies. They must have been shot a hundred times each. And some of their organs showed signs of decay, like they really had
been dead for years. It's weird. I can't explain it."
Cody was puzzled. Dead marines? Alive and kicking? Well, not anymore, though. What the hell had FEMA been up to? Had they hired professionals for their terrorist team? Hmm... He had thought they just had financed an already excisting terrorist group. That would have been a lot cheaper. Well, he didn't need to worry about that now. That case was over, and he was eager to start on the next one.
