S.A.R.A. or Starfleet Automated Robotic Assitants.
Designed to help out wih the more mundane and dnagerous aspects of starship maintainance and exploration, the SARA's come int a variety of sizes and shapes. The largest, known as a Drone, it is the most versatile of them all. Second is the Probe, small but stable to go where the Drone is unable. Third is the P.O.D., or Programmable Observation Drone. An away team companion that scouts out the terrain. Last is the Waldo, a small unit that is meant for repairs in areas easily gottne to by anyone.
DroneThis unit is meant to handle more complicated tasks, Not only for shipboard use it can tolerate a variety of enviorments, from deep submersion to the vacuum of space. These units are the most complex of the SARA's but is limited to prevent problems like those with the Exocomps. They communicate verbally and are self controlled or can be controlled by external controls. Each unit is configured for a specific field, all are color coded for thier assignemnt. There are Medical, security, away team, engineering and maintainance units.
