Yule is a time to celebrate the longest night of the year with fires and feasting and the exchange of gifts. This is the first day of winter, the Goddess lay in her icy sleep, while the God is at his highest strength, but even he knows that his power will begin to wane by the next day and shortly after She will awaken to take the reins once again.
