OLDER UPDATES

November 28, 1999: There will be weekly updates. I will not have twenty new sites every week, but I will figure out something. In the meantime, I have 55 new sites for you:

I have made a few alterations to the main page, and will likely make a few more in the coming month.

On an unrelated note: Issue 2 of Parsec12, a Star Wars e-zine for which I happen to be an editor, is now online with three new stories. I recommend Bolt Hole, a sequel to The Phantom Menace, in particular. Parsec12 is now accepting submissions for Issue 3, with a deadline of February 2000.

Until next week (I hope),

September 6, 1999: Another month, another "weekly" update :P The good news is that my good computer goes back online tomorrow, so things should speed up considerably from here on out.

New sites in the following sections this update:

Due to the release of a certain piece of software tomorrow, there will be no update, actual or attempted, this week. I'll be back in two weeks with a vengeance, and hopefully a good deal more punctuality than has been shown to date...

July 31, 1999: Not much to report. My computer still isn't online, and working on this site is still slow as hell.

The X-Files section's entries have been updated, and there's one new site in the Squaresoft section.

Gen Con's next weekend, but I'll try to get an update in either on Wednesday or on Sunday. I will have more sites and another section updated, I promise.

Until then,

July 11, 1999: Well, now. That was a fun month. :P Anyway, here's the low-down:

Will there be an update next week? Maybe. I'm working on getting my other computer online for the first time in over half a year this week, which should make everything go a lot easier once it's done. If I get through that in time, then maybe. We'll see.

It won't be a month again, I promise you that.

June 6, 1999: Whew. Finally, an update! Twenty-nine new sites for you, in the following sections:

Because of the unfortunate accident I alluded to in the guestbook, I did not have time to add any new sections to the Clearinghouse this time around. Next time (I'd say next week but...eh, you know the drill) I plan to add subsections for Babylon 5 and Ranma 1/2 to the TV and Anime sections, respectively.

I'm sure you've all seen my newest rant by now. If not--especially if you're a webmaster--go read it. Now.

The Book Nook is gone. I took it offline for retooling, and decided it wasn't worth my time.

Finally, the Clearinghouse has been restructured for what I hope will be the last time until at least the new millennium. Following any links provided in previous updates will yield either a non-updated page or, more likely, a little note from yours truly for those who have linked directly to certain pages here.

That's all for now. TTFN,

PS. To whoever submitted the Never Been Kissed fanfic site--could you please resend me that site's URL? Hotmail seems to have eaten your message.

March 28, 1999: Seven new sites this week:

I'm going to be giving the Other TV section the third degree this week, to see if I can't cull another section or two from it.

Also, you probably noticed the little change I made to the front page. I'll have an explanation (or a revocation, I haven't decided which) ready soon.

And with that--oh, yeah. (SHAMELESS PLUG FOR NEW SITE--COMING SOON)

Until next week,

March 21, 1999: Sheesh. Maybe I should just change that blurb on the main page to "updated monthly." Anyway, short and sweet. Seven sites. Thought there'd be more, but vanishing servers screw up plans, you know?

Now, if you'll excuse me, the isolation chamber awaits--I have a loose end (yes, that's a shameless plug--coming soon) to tie up before I'm garroted.

Until next week (hey, I can dream, can't I?),

February 27, 1999: There are days I really hate my life, you know? All I can really say about the long delay is first of all that it really wasn't a delay; among other things, I added a new rant and a number of new excuses, and will be expanding my bookshelf to include several of them soon. (Note that the one up there now isn't the only one I had for February; check the February calendar for the others.) Secondly, the Clearinghouse wasn't the only thing that fell victim to a series of crises in my life here. I've been jettisoning projects and commitments left and right in an attempt to try to get caught up; fortunately, I think that's all behind me now. I think.

Anyway, ten new sites for you today, in the following sections:

There.

Well, I suppose you could call this a time of celebration. The Clearinghouse celebrated its first anniversary last month, and its 10,000th hit, and I celebrated my birthday yesterday. Lots of positive energy in the air, here. Hopefully, that will translate into an on-time update next weekend.

Nah. :)

Until whenever,

--Shack

PS. Birthday flames will be promptly returned to the sender, possibly accompanied by a lit stick of dynamite. You've been warned.

January 21, 1999: Well, happy New Year, everyone. Perhaps, one of these decades, I'll manage to turn in two on-time updates in a row. Anyway, I have twenty new sites for you today, in the follow sections:

Whew. Hopefully, it won't be so long before the next update. Anyway, look for me to finally start updating descriptions soon (I swear!) and be back with around ten sites this weekend.
