Forge, born a Cheyenne indian, is a shaman and a Vietnam war veteren. He lost one of his legs and one of his hands in the war, and later built cybernetic replacements. Later during his life, Forge worked with Val Cooper and the Us Government and he constructed a gun the would take away mutant powers. During a test of the gun, Storm was accidentally hit, and lost her powers for a short time. After a confrontation with The Adversary, Forge join the X-Men. After being an on-off X-Man for a good amount of time, Val Cooper recruited Forge for her group of mutants on X-Factor. Forge rose through the ranks during his stay and when Havok was captured, Forge stepped up to be leader. During this time, Forge was grouped with his ex, Mystique. Now, I'm not quite sure when this happened, but I know that in his past, Mystique and Forge were pretty hot and heavy. Also during Forge's time on X-Factor, he took the team underground, where it has stayed ever since. Towards the end of his tenure in X-Factor, Sabretooth, his reluctant teammate, disabled his restraint collar. When this happened, Sabretooth went on a rampage, severely injuring just about the entire team. Havok then came in to save the day and took the injured people to his underground hideout to let them recuperate. When Forge was all healed up, he quit. He recently met up with Havok and gave him the keys to a warehouse/headquarters type building that he wasn't using on one condition, that Havok never contacted him again.
