WC1- This is the first Wing Commander game ever created and you play the character of Christopher Blair. He's a young rookie fighter pilot right out of the academy and his first assignment is to the carrier "Tigers Claw." You start to learn more and more about your new enemy, The Kilrathi.( or often referred to as the "cats") as you start your Vega Sector Campaign. You also make several friends amoung the fighter squadron group while on board: Angel, Paladin, Iceman, Bossman, Maniac, plus a few more. You also start a "rocky" relationship with the captain of the Tigers Claw: Commodore Tolwyn, which lasts well into the series.
Secret Missions- In this follow up game to WC1, you find the Gollard colony to be completely destroyed. As the game advances you learn that the Kilrathi used some new super weapon on the colony. You later find a new ship that the Kilrathi made. This dreadnaught ship is named the Sivar after the Kilrathi's " god of war." You finish the game by tracking it down and destroying it.
Secret MissionsII- You start off on a nice and easy mission to the Firekkan homeworld, or is it? You later discover a huge Kilrathi Task Force heading for you, with their plans being to use the Firekkans as a religious sacrafise. The rest of the game you spend flying in a secret undercover mission in a Kilrathi fighter, until you finally repel the Kilrathi assault.
WCII- After Wing Commander 1 you begin your assault on the Kilrathi Headquaters for the sector at, K'tithrak Mang. While on approach to the base the Tigers Claw is attacked and destroyed by the Kilrathi's new stealth fighters. However, you are the only one who witnessed these fighters and so you are charged with treason and the blaim for the loss of the carrier falls on you. You are then assigned as a security guard to a space station in the middle of no where, and where nothing is suppossed to happen. But then all of a sudden you run into some kilrathi on a patrol, and then shortly after you find the carrier Concordia running to you for help. After saving the Concordia you begin to advance back up through the sector to pick up where the Tigers Claw left off, destroying the base at K'tithrak Mang. You meet back up with some of your old friends plus you make a new one; Hobbes, a Kilrathi defector. You also capture the real traitor, Jazz.
Special Operations- You are now assigned to a special ops team. You save the Pembroke Station, and then head to Rigel. On arrival you find there is a mutiny in effect. You then must help the Confederation people fight off the pirates and return home. You later capture Prince Thrakhath for a short while, and you save Ghorah Khar.
Special OperationsII- While on trial, Jazz is freed by the Mandarins. Prince Thrakhath then sets his sights on stealing the Confederations newest fighter, the Morningstar. You are also reunited with your old loveable pal Maniac. You then must destroy the Kilrathi base, Ayer's Rock. You use a captured Kilrathi freighter to do this and you end up saving the Morningstar technology from the Kilrathi.
WCIII- This is the first Wing Commander game to use real movies and actors. It stars Mark Hammil as Christopher Blair, and game itself has a new game engine and contains no more of the old "cartoon" style gameplay.
Once again your carrier, the Concordia, is destroyed. You are then reassigned to the carrier Victory by Admiral Tolwyn. You find two of your old "friends" there, Maniac and Hobbes. Your new captain is Captain Eisen, who later you really learn to look up to.
For the most part, your now on the defensive. The Confederation is loosing the war (even though they won't admit it) and there running out of ideas. It is finally decided that the only way for the Confederation to win the war out-right is to destroy the Kilrathi's homeworld, Kilrah. Once this is done it was hoped that it would break there fighting spirit.
First Admiral Tolwyn tries with his Bohemeth, a planet killing ship. Once this is destroyed all hope seems lost, then all a sudden your old friend Paladin makes a surprise visit. He and his staff have invinted the "Temblor Bomb." This is a weapon that, if launched correctly, Will completely destroy a planet. You then later discover Hobbes is a traitor and you go on to singal handedly destroy Kilrah and become the Confederation's hero.
WCIV- The long war with the Kilrathi is over. You have retired from the military and have become a farmer in hopes of getting away from it all. You are one day informed by Maniac that you have been recalled to active duty and you leave immediately. The air is filled with rumors of war as the Border Worlds are accused with terrorism. You are assigned to the Lexington where you are once again under the command of Captain Eisen.
However, shortly after you begin to engage these new "unknown" forces you find out that captain Eisen has defected. You do the same and you switch sides to the Border Worlds' Forces. Your now on the the Intrepid but you hardly have an idea of whats happening. You later discover that Admiral Tolwyn is behind these actions in an attempt to start a war. You then battle with his "Black Lance" forces in an attempt to beat him to the senate house where you will have a debate show down with Tolwyn in an attempt to stop his plans.
WCP- No longer are you Christopher Blair, your now Lance Casey. You are stationed on the Midway, a new super carrier designed by Commodore Blair. Shortly after you arrive on the Midway you are alerted to a new problem. A huge Kilrathi fleet has been destroyed by a new unknown threat. While investing some wreckage you are jumped by these new unknowns. You know nothing about them accept that they are ruthless and have no mercy. They appear to be a "bug" type species that make the Kilrathi look like kittens. After a long defensive struggle you finally start to go on the offensive in an attempt to shut down the "wormhole" by which they interred. After a hard fight through the "bug" fleet you are finally ready to destroy the array the "bugs" have built which is holding the "wormhole" open. You must then escort Dekker and his marines to the station where they will shut down each one of 7 towers which are required to hold the gate open. But after some unexspected resistence Blair goes into the last tower in an attempt to shut down the shields. You finally destroy the towers and stop the "bugs," but it also appears that you have lost Blair as well.
