Garrett and his brother, Johnson, served in Company C, 29th
Regiment, CSA. He enlisted 5-Mar-1862 and was present 10/62,
absent sick 2/63 and 4/63, present 4/64, promoted to
sergeant, present 12/64, deserted 13-Feb 1865 at Bermuda
Hundred, took oath and released. Help anyone?
Nothing is known about Ainsley or "Ailsey" whom was called "Elsa" other than she was born in Carroll County, VA., and is the sister of Phoebe, the wife of Garrett's brother, Johnson. Ainsley and Phobe's father, Howell, is the
brother of Charles and Richard Farmer who married Margaret and Martha
Winesett, the aunts of Garrett and Johnson.

and Ailsey as residing in Sulphur Springs District.

8. Rena (about 1883 to unknown) who married
Ed Delph, and
9. Lillian A. (29-Mar-1885 to 14-Jun-1888), who died of flux.
