Mae was born in Almagordo, New Mexico, the only one of her parents' children born there. Mae was a nurse. She was very independent and maintained her own home in her ninties. She lived in Whiteville, NC, only a few blocks from her sister, Kate.

The webmaster didn't know Helen was part of her name until he found a deed from Mae and Ed to her parents. There her name was given as Helen Mae (Withheld). She had always been "Aunt Mae". Mae's gravestone has her birthdate as 22-Jun-1908.

Nothing is known about Ed.

Ed and Mae's children are:
1. Edward Jr. and
2. Maxine who married a White. Maxine was also a nurse.

Mae is buried near her parents in Columbus Memorial Cementery.
