There is some confusion because I also have found
a report of a Martha Winesett who was married to
John Poor or Poore and had children Charles (1868)
and John (1876) born in Grayson County, VA, or in
Grant County, TN. Is this the same or a different
Martha's. Help anyone?
Nothing is known about either John Poor or William
Hall at this time. There were no Poors listed for
the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses in Carroll County.
There were several William Halls in Carroll County
at the same time as Martha.

There is a William F. Hall and Martha listed in the
1880 Federal Cesus for Carroll County, Piper Gap
District family 6/6. Listed children are:
William is a farmer. Based on the ages of the
children, I believe this is the correct family
although the given age for Martha of 20 is incorrect
as she would be 28. It is more likely her oldest
child was born when she was age 22 rather than 14.
1. John L., age 6, and
2. Floyd M., age 3.
