Canada Williams lived with his family next to Lemuel and Amelia at
the time of the 1860 Census. He is the grandson of Samuel Williams
and Anne Newman, and Melvina is their great-granddaughter. He was
18 years old at that time and Melvina was not even born. Was Canada
previously married and Melvina was his second spouse or did Melvina
