Theresa is a 1979 graduate of Baptist Bible College with a BS in elementary education. After teaching the 4th grade for a few years, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and worked in the insurance business. After marrying Fred, she retired to taking care of her 2 acre estate and gardening. She was won awards for her gardening and her yard.

Raiford is called "Fred". He is a lieutenant in the fire department where he has served for more than 20 years.

Fred and Theresa are both gospel singers and songwriters. They have performed in churches, traveled with a group across America, and performed in Nashville. They are members of BMI and receive royalties for some of their songs.

In lieu of children Fred and Theresa have Chihuahuas, Bubba and Carmen.
