Gooch Harman said that Conner was a dentist and had
an office in Galax. His drill was powered by a
device similar to a stationary bicycle. Conner
was appointed acting postmaster in 1924 for the
Woodland post office. Any additional information about
Conner and his wives would be appreciated. Were there
any children?
Nothing is known about Octavia except that she married
14-Nov-1889 John Anderson Goad by whom she had 7 children prior
to Conner. After Conner's death she married 15-Aug-1934 Homer
Anderson Gardner. She was old to have had children by
Conner. She was generally referred to as "Aunt Tavy". She
is buried in Isaac Webb Cemetery in Carroll County, VA.
