Active
Worlds 3.1 is a VRML-based virtual reality chat
environment released by Active Worlds.com Inc. It's an excellent group of chat
worlds owned by various people interconnected and viewed using their chat
browser. You can go there free and chat using 3D representations of yourself
(avatars). It's free for visitors (you can even build property there for free in
some of the worlds). You have more options (more avatar choices, private
messages, contact lists, etc...) with paid registration.
Windows Pentium processor running Windows 95/98/NT, 16 MB memory (32
recommended), 50 MB disk space, 256 color display (16-bit color recommended).
