If you're here, that means you've recognized something I've known for three seasons now. The Pretender is one of the ten best shows on television. It continually combines superb (though occasionally cliche) writing with top notch acting and dead on characterizations. Even when Miss Parker plays it soft, she's STILL Miss Parker who has ALWAYS been a hurt, confused little girl lashing out at the world around her. Jarod never wavers from his quest to right the wrongs of the world; even when he has a conflict of conscious, of self, he still remains true to himself. THAT is what draws me to the Pretender and THAT is what inspires me to continue the journies the creators have begun.
Sometimes, I feel like I spend more time on the road than Jarod. Sometimes, I feel like I =really= understand Miss Parker's pain. Sometimes, I want to make like she does and snap at people; pull my gun on them (ESP NBC when it does something STUPID like pull the Pretender for the FOURTH week in a row . . . but I digress.)However, when these instances occur, I don't get mad;
Here you will find my modest (but ever increasing) pile of Pretender fanfic. Enjoy and please, don't forget to let me know what you think of it :)
Angel
Classification: Angst; Story; J/MP Friendship.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Miss Parker is going through changes. (This was
written just before Thomas hit the scene, and doesn't make a
whole lot of sense with the current standing of the series.)
Rain
Classification: Angst; Story; J/MP R
Rating: NC-17
Summary: This is actually a sort of companion piece to an X-files
story Unslain Dragons but
can easily be read alone. It just explains who the other person with Miss Parker is if you read UD.
