When Connor and Rameriz went before the tribunal to be judged for rebellion. The voice called their immortality unholy. From this I think we can assume that the immortals were not appreciated even were they came from. They were sent 50,000 years into the future, were all murders, thieves and rebels were sent.
I think this is interesting...it certainly explains brutal killers like Kronos. It also explains thieves like Amanda and Richie.
A theory to ponder...maybe Duncan is a kind of immortal cop. What better way to execute murders without taking the responsibility. Send them somewhere away from your society, and then send a cop like Duncan or Connor after them.
Why turn up as babies with no memories of what they are? How better to fit into another's society?
What about this there can be only one? It certainly justifies Duncan cutting off heads. He has no chose, because of the game. Or perhaps the game was invented by humans. It would certainly be a great way to control immortal population. The watchers, there to guarantee that the game stays in place and does its job.
With rules like no witness to a challenge, and keeping a low profile. Again this would keep immortals from becoming too powerful. They must give up a life and take on another, every once in a while to keep their secret.
In all there is so much to ponder about immortals...it is soooooooooooo much fun.
