(There may be a brief introduction before the melody starts)

LIKE A VULCAN

By George Bogler, with Jill Bogler

(Based on "Like a Virgin", by Madonna)

[4 measure introduction]

I made it through my Pon Far
Somehow I made it it through
Didn't know how lost I was
'Till I fought for you

I felt heat, to compete
I'd been mad, I was sad and green
But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel shiny and clean

Hoo, like a Vulcan
Mated for the very first time
Like a Vulcan
Seven years 'til the next time

Gonna join you in a mind meld
My fingers on your head
Joined telepathically
Until one is dead

The Anwun and Lerpa
Ancient are weapons that they use
You can't interfere
You can't interfere
It would just confuse

Like a Vulcan, Hey
Mated for the very first time
Like a Vulcan
Seven years 'til the next time

[7 measure musical break]

You're so fine, and you're mine
And such perfect points on your ears
With such graceful curves
They catch whispers
When you're not even near

Like a Vulcan, Hey
Mated for the very first time
Like a Vulcan
Seven years 'til the next time

Like a Vulcan, OOH OOH OOH OOH
Like a Vulcan, they're so cold inside
When you call me and your thoughts speak
Inside my head, Oh Oh OOH Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh
OOH Vulcans yeah
They've been through their Pon Farr
For the very first time

10/98 gpb

I do not consider this one of my best efforts; even with Jill's help. It was hard to write, and that may have something to do with it. Usually these come out of me with little effort. The work comes from fine-tuning.

`My inspiration came from Weird Al Yankovik's "Like A Surgeon", but this is closer to the Madonna version.
