The figure I started out with was a WILDCAT’s Helspont figure. The attention to
muscular detail was incredible and he already had a skull-like mask.
After sanding down the abdomen, drilling out some strange gem-like thing
from the figure’s chest and trimming down his head, I had the basic model for my Death’s
Head.
The most exciting moments in his costruction happened when I visited a local hardware store called Wacky Willy’s. I found the thinnest gauge red wire in the store for his hair. I actually scored a rectangular hole in the back of the head, and with a hot glue gun, I actually installed “rooted hair” in this figure. After drying, this was quite possibly one of my favorite parts of his creation. I drilled holes into his chest, and I inserted thicker gauge red wire into his abdomen. The cables running from his chest to his neck are also inserted into his body cavity. The cables actually have about a half inch of length inside the chest cavity so that you can turn his head without running the risk of them popping out. He is painted with metallic acrylics (blue, gold, and silver). And his “cybernetic arm” is made from assorted chrome parts from some of my loose toys (including a special mail-away Invisible Predator figure supposedly worth $45).
