Zwitterion Quanta

Here is Zwitterion Quanta; my favorite character. Unfortunately many modifications are needed below, since I have played much and updated little. Also there are some unique spells that you can reach through his 'Prayers' and 'Spellbook'...

Notes on Items: Zwitterion's left arm has changed to a magical mist. The mist is redish silver in color, with blue stars moving in it. The arm is a blessing from Mystra and has the following powers:
* Strenth: 18/99
* +2 bonus to all saving throws and AC
* Protection From Evil as the spell
* "Word of Recall" once per month
Zwi read a Libram of Silver Magic when was 11th level. He has seen lots of magical items (some were very rare items such as the Staff of the Abyss (Drow of the Underdark), Deck of Many Things, Hammer of Thunderbolts, Spiderwand (Drow of the Underdark) etc.) and he will pay well for almost all kinds of magical equipment and especially for a Girdle of Many Pouches.
Zwi's Spider Wand and his spellbook are coated with Oil of Timelessness. His spellbook is also under the effect of the "Fire Trap" spell. While travelling, he uses the "Fire Trap" spell to protect his backpack. He carries three 'Minimized' exceptional-quality maces which are 'Charged' with "Polymorph Self","Zwi's Cloak of Silence" and "Protection From Normal Missles". His main weapon, a morningstar +3, contains a "Vampiric Touch" and his 'Minimized' footman's mace +2 has a "Phantasmal Killer" [He has never used that spell on any living being and he never memorizes it, but he carries it for dire emergencies.]. He also carries 5-6 vials of holy water and some 'Continual Light'ed stones for emergencies.

Notes on Priestly Spheres: Zwi has major access to all spheres from the PHB except Animal, Plant, Sun, Weather to which he has minor excess. From ToM, he has minor access to the spheres Numbers and Time, and has recently gained major access to Thought sphere after his encounter with the god Entropy and his priests.

Notes on Spells: He tries to research spells that serve many functions. He never researchs spells whose area of effects are only self, for he tries to help his allies with his magic. He tries to exchange spells with other mages and teaches some of his spells at no cost, but wants the users to remember his name while casting them. His unique spells are given below. Of these spells he sees 'Virtual Illusion' as his masterpiece.
Zwitterion sees researching and learning new and unique spells as an active prayer to Mystra. It may be seen that he has reached the maximum number (11) of spells that a mage of 15 Int can learn from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spell-levels. He believes that everything is possible through the use of magic, as long as the proper spell is known. According to him, magic should be used for the wellfare of all beings. There is no limit to the use of magic, it should be a part in every day life; even small children should learn a few basic tricks. It is part of us and we must not ignore it. The {x} shows the number of spells that are frequently memorized while travelling.

Notes on Level and XP: Zwitterion completed his training and began adventuring just after the Time of Troubles. His level advancement was identical to that of a normal cleric; as there was nothing as a 'specialty priest' concept, but he had a special status, he could use spells as if he were a specialty priest [Access to spheres denied to ordinary clerics such as Animal, Plant, Weather etc. were available to him]. As he adventured, he gradually got all other speciality priest abilities mentioned in FR Adventures (He officially became a specialty priest with full abilities when he reached 4th level). Now he still uses cleric level advancement tables, and receives 10% bonus to his priest XP (,although his INT is 15); but has speciality priest abilities. From granted powers mentioned in The Faiths and Avatars, which powers will be granted to him is still a question not answered, but when deciding, his special status is to be considered.

Appereance: Zwitterion is like a staff (216cm. 58kg.).He is 26 years old, but because of 2 previous "restoration" spells, he is physically 30. He has black eyes and dark hair. There is a small pinch of blue hair on the back of his head. He shows the standart facial features for a normal Faerunian moon half-elf. If the Comliness attribute explained in 'Unearthed Arcana' is used, Zwitterion has 14 Com (plus racial modifier versus humans [+1] ); increasing his reaction adjustment by 14(+1)% and affecting female individuals having less than 8 Wisdom as if under a 'Fascinate' spell.
He prefers robes and hooded cloaks in blue color. He shaves everyday, through cantrips. He likes to be clean and also uses some cantrips to maintain this. He always caries a vial of perfume in case something important happens. He baths as often as he can and knows well how to wash his clothes and items.

Personality: Zwitterion's personality is somewhat between the Alturist and the Counselor in terms of the personality types mentioned in the Complete Wizard's Handbook. However, he is a bit wise-acre. Anyway, he is respectful, trustworthy and honest. Because of the loss of his parents at an early age, he is very loyal to the Tower of Wonder [Mystra's temple in Waterdeep], where he was brought up. Life is very important for him and he usually prefers neutralizing (if possible) to killing. He always tries to protect his allies and all innocent people. He will do anything he can to help anyone non- evil. He has a special hatred to evil undeads. He sees priests of Cyric and Red Wizards of Thay as his special enemies (but this doesn't mean that he attacks them on sight).
Zwitterion worships, loves, respects the Lady of Mysteries. He tries to be a devout worshipper and to spread her worship. He will do anything he can to be useful to Mystra's cause. But note that despite his very loyalty to her, he also respects all other good-aligned gods [including the Dark Maiden] and most of the neutral ones [especially Azuth and Oghma]. Entropy, although an evil power, is also shown respect.

Background: Zwitterion is the only son of Menalith Shingsoul [halfelven cleric of Mystra] and Zentar Strongblade [halfelven ranger]. His father, Zentar, was killed by a Red Wizard of Thay in Aglarond. He lost his mother when she was trying to stop a disease at Neverwinter. Zwitterion was brought up by his mother's friends from the temple to Mystra. He sees the temple as his home, now. In his 10 years of adventuring, he has seen lots of interesting places (including Menzoberranzan, Jungles of Chult, Sigil City of Portals, Skullport, Myth Drannor etc.), but he thinks that the City of Splendors is the perfect place to live.
His years of adventuring has really been hard for him. He was ressurrected thrice; his alignment changed to chaotic evil for some short period of time because of an ancient artifact; he stayed in some kind of "Temporal Stasis" for nearly one year. He even lost his left arm because of a shapechanging lich (now his arm is magical). Because of this, he can cast most spells by using only his right hand (only 5% chance of failure; with a penalty of 3 to initiative).
Zwi is a harper ally and possesses a bronze harper pin.

Aims: He likes to see different places, even outer planes, and he wants to write books about the things he sees. Evermeet and Halruaa are the top places he desires to visit.
Other aims of Zwitterion are to train people in magecraft and in the true way of the Lady; to work for the city watch for sometime; to research new spells; and to marry someone (BTW, he has a mage girlfriend, nowadays.).

Combat: Zwi always prefers team-work. He likes to use only a few offensive spells [and from those few offensive spells, his favorite is 'Lightning Bolt', which he can use it very creatively in closed spaces], because he believes that aiding always foregoes harming. He is the aiding machine of the party and he likes this position. He usually uses his defense and healing spells on his companions. He rarely uses his weapons, as 'magic is everything that a person needs'.
As a specialty priest of Mystra, he enjoys the benefits mentioned in FR Adventures: +2 bonus to saves versus magic, not affected by dead/wild magic areas, turn undead, 'Detect Magic' once a day. He can use the 'Weaveglow' ability mentioned in the Faiths and Avatars, as well (like all other priests of Mystra).
When travelling, Zwitterion protects himself with the following spells: Stoneskin, Formentera's Combined Spell [with an Emergency cast to be trigered], Armor, Zwitterion's Accelerate Reflexes, Zwitterion's Delay Death, Zwitterion's Resist Dispelling. He also wears an 'Enchanted Robe'.
