The Last Best Hope for Decent TV

Babylon 5 is perhaps one of the greatest tv (well sf based) shows ever. It is definetly much better than the travesty that is all forms of star trek . The scripts for the show at times can be breathtaking and others extremely wooden. Babylon 5 is one of those shows you have to grow to love. Most of the first season shows tends towards being crap and might put you off. You dont get to see the significance of some of the plotlines until much later on in the series. There is one plot point which was mentioned in the pilot (The Gathering) which didnt make an appearance until midway thru the 5th and final season. This is the scope of JMS's vision. He has known from the beginning where he wanted the story to go. And he has planned it all and got there even with the odd mishap. Like almost not getting the 5th season. Shall I eulogise a bit more or shall i stop mumbling incoherently.

Well after much consideration i decided to stop mumbling.

And there was much rejoicing in the land!!!!!!!!
