Home One: A gift to the Alliance
When Mon Calamari joined the Alliance shortly after pushing back an invasion by the Empire, no one complained. Mon Calamari was not only a beautiful water world that deserved freedom, but a suppository of huge passenger starships. It was these passenger liners (like the Kuari Princess shown below) that eventually gave the Alliance to Restore the Republic what it needed--powerful warships.
Organic in shape and form, the passenger liners were converted into weapons of war. Powerful shields were the largest improvements, allowing the cruisers to sustain heavy fire, giving their turbolasers time to slice through the weaker Imperial shields. Standard ships (MC80 class) carried a complement of 48 turbolasers, twenty ion cannons, and six tractor beam projectors. They could also carry three squadrons of starfighters.
Before my defection, I was the slave of Grand Moff Tarkin, the well known Imperial warlord
of the Outer Rim territories where Mon Calamari is located. Before his death aboard the first
Death Star, I managed to escape and immediately enlisted in the Alliance. After a year
of loyal assistance I had worked my way up to the rank of Admiral and represented my people for the
Alliance. Come the construction of the second Death Star, I required a Star Cruiser for a planned
assault that later became the Battle of Endor. That vessel was Home One (also called the
Headquarters Frigate), my flagship and command station.

Home One was fitted to my personal specifications for the battle. Unlike other MC80
Cruisers, it was equipped with 29 turbolasers and thirty six ion cannons. It was also equipped to
carry an amazing ten squadrons of starfighters (120 fighters). Home One survived the Battle of
Endor and participated in several more engagements before being replaced by the Defiance, an
MC90 class cruiser that was produced shortly before Grand Admiral Thrawn came to power.
The Defiance is currently the flagship of the New Republic Navy.
