I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors in Zoology in 1999. After a failed stint in graduate school, I have decided to switch to high school teaching. I am currently a secondary biology certification student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It was both an appropriate and important decision for me. Interacting with other people and shaping learning are important to me! Let's just say that graduate school in the sciences doesn't exactly encourage that. :)

I am a Star Wars fan. I love analyzing story structure and using the universe as a backdrop for Star Wars roleplaying. Roleplaying is my primary hobby. I also like using Star Wars as a backdrop for my creative writing.

Favorite Literature: Favorite topics include the radical liberal opinions on civil rights, education, and history. I also enjoy biological evolution, geology, the American Civil War, Star Wars, Fantasy and the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings trilogy by that author has always utterly captivated me.
Favorite Music: I enjoy rock n roll from any decade, especially Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Van Halen, and The Beatles. I am also a big fan of classical music and played the violin for ten years before tendonitis made it impossible.

Favorite Pet: My kitty Rogue!
