Klecser

Background: Green-scaled and reptilian in appearance, Klecser made her first appearance right after the Battle of Sluis Van, having stealthily tracked Saber team from Myrkr. Right after arriving on Sluis Van, Grand Admiral Thrawn ordered the Bounty Hunter's Guild to be contacted to assist them in the capture of Saber team. The large bounties outstanding for Commander Sunrider, Captain Daala, and Lieutenant Everlight attracted one of the guilds most ruthless bounty hunters: Klecser. Klecser is an Andronian Lizard Beast from Andro in the Bothan system. She had been hunting for bounty for 16 years prior to the prestigious Saber team bounty. She took it with honor and is still looking for the credits, as she failed to capture Daala, Sunrider, and Dynasty twice on Sluis Van. She has been seen in concert with Nectar Soon, but this partnership is most likely for business reasons. Klecser has not been known to fall in happily with dark Jedis, or Imperials.

Interesting facts: Klecser works best by approaching ships of bounty acquisitions and shooting tracker discs onto their hulls from her ship The Wanderer. She can then track them at her leisure. She prefers to hit the bounty from secret with her sawed-off blaster rifle, but can easily enter hand-to-hand combat where her strength and powerful tail serve her well. Klecser is not evil. She is honorable, but doesn't care if the bounty itself is just or not.

Arexal Deenis

Background: Saber team first encountered Deenis in the Leptam system, but Adar Daala knew her before then. His past with her is of yet unknown, but it is known that they worked together on several anti-Imperial raids. Her past is ruled by money and the death of the hunt, and she was rarely trusted by anyone that didn't know her very well. She met her first mate, Graxaad, in the Wesb system and has been with him ever since. Deenis has been a bounty hunteress most of her adult life. When the remnants of the Empire threatened her business and family on Leptam, she organized and lead the Leptam Republican Army. She helped rescue Daala when he was captured on Leptam. She assisted them in infiltrating the Imperial compound on Leptam, but betrayed Saber team to Deesna Fen. After escaping from the compound, the team found out that Deenis was arrested by her own first mate, Graxaad, and that she had been black-mailed by Fen. Her parents had been captured by Fen so she would follow his wishes. After her parents were rescued by Saber team, she lead the Leptam Republican Army to victory. Unfortunately, Deenis was killed when Fen rallied his forces and re-took the Leptam system.

Interesting facts: Deenis will always be known as a bounty hunter. She was decked out with amazing equipment. She had powerful armor, many weapons and an infra-red sensor pack built into a helmet. She used this special toy to locate a Noghri that assasinated an NRI agent.

Graxaad

Background: Graxaad is the wookie friend and partner of Arexal Deenis. He met up with her when she was visiting the Wesb system, and has joined her in the Hunt ever since. A master with a hydrospanner, as so many wookies are, he is the mechanic of Deenis's ship, the Gilded Dragon. Graxaad discovered Deenis's betrayal when he overheard a communication opened between her and Deesna Fen. With his Honor at stake, he could do nothing but arrest her for her treason to her friends. He then went out on the Gilded Dragon to provide cover fire for the Kestrel II as they escaped, realizing they were in great danger. When Fen re-took Leptam, eye witnesses saw Graxaad dismember four shock troops and kill 6 more before Fen imprisoned him and sent him off to heavy labor.

Interesting facts: Graxaad's strength is in his mechanical skills. He has the ability to repair almost any ship or vehicle. Strong of will and with 275 years of wisdom under his belt, Graxaad is a very noble wookie.

UPDATE: (July 1997) Graxaad was recently rescued from a Penal Mining Colony by Saber team. He now owes the Team a life debt.

Bad

Nectar Soon

Background: Nectar Soon's background is very shady. Few know where he comes from and what he has done in his past. What everyone knows, however, is that he is a dark Jedi, and wants to restore the immense evil that fell over the galaxy during the "Golden" Age of the Sith. Saber team first met Soon on Xa Fel, inadvertantly finding a factory from which he was aiding the Empire in manufacture of sublight Star Destroyer Drives. Going through Soon's data banks, Saber team found out his plans to recover a Jedi Holocron lost on Sluis Van. The next time Soon was seen was on Leptam, with some Noghri.

Nectar Soon's Arakyd Helix C-class freighter Dark Chariot, first seen on Leptam. It was destroyed on Sluis Van by a well placed thermal detonator from Captain Daala.

The last time Soon encountered Saber team was after recovering the Holocron on Sluis Van. He was defeated by Jovan Everlight in an amazing battle. Soon is sure to appear again, as he was rescued by Klecser in a short-lived alliance. It is not known when Soon actually obtained the Holocron, but is highly likely that he learned several of it's secrets before losing it to Everlight. The Dark Chariot was destroyed on Sluis Van. Neither the bodies of Klecser or Nectar Soon (who were both aboard at the time) were found in the wreakage of the ship, suggesting that Nectar Soon obtained very powerful knowledge from the Holocron.

Interesting facts: Soon dresses in black robes and a purple cape: the stereotypical dark Jedi. His favorite attack is to use telekinesis to hurl heavy objects at his opponents to distract or injure them. One of his major weaknesses is to toy with his opponents, which cost him his left hand and right leg below the knee while fighting Jovan Everlight for possession of a Jedi Holocron. These body parts are now fully-functioning cybernetic implants. It is rumored that Soon has taken on a dark Jedi student, but these claims can, as of yet, not be supported by fact. It is unclear where Soon gets all of his money, but he may be working a partnership with Deesna Fen (or may be controlling his mind).

Deesna Fen

Background: Saber team has never directly seen Deesna Fen, but it is known that he was the mastermind behind a huge Imperial military operation on Leptam. Fen was a General in the Imperial Army before Endor, and afterwards, due to a new shortage of Imperial leadership, was given complete control of the Leptam system a year before encountering Saber team. His job, given to him by an unknown superior (thought to be Grand Admiral Thrawn), was to construct a large portion of Tie Interceptor shield generators, badly needed to increase the fighter's survival rate in dog fights (Tie's of any kind were now scarce). Hearing of the existence of a New Republic Task Force (notably Saber Team) in the system, Fen captured the parents of Arexa Danos, a well known bounty hunter in the sector. Danos knew Adar Daala in the past, and it was Fen's hope to exploit this by black-mailing her. Unfortunately, Danos was found out by her first mate Graxaaden and got Saber team to assist in getting her parents out. A smuggler's assault on Fen left his small navy destroyed and he was forced to flee. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Interesting facts: Little has been seen of Fen, but it is obvious that he holds a very high rank among the fragmented Empire. Having escaped from Leptam, his future plans are unclear. Twelve hours after losing his livelyhood on Leptam, he sent out bounties for the members of Saber team:

Adar Daala: 200,000 credits

Estalan Sunrider: 150,000 credits

Koryo Dynasty: 120,000 credits

Jovan Everlight: 100,000 credits

(Everlight's bounty is odd because he was off on a personal mission during the incident on Leptam and did not participate in the planet's liberation)

Shortly after Nectar Soon's defeat on Sluis Van, the bounty for Jovan Everlight's capture was increased to 200,000 credits, furthering the ideology that Nectar Soon and Deesna Fen are connected in some way.

UPDATE: Shortly after the Battle of Sluis Van, New Republic Intelligence got several reports that Deesna Fen had returned to Leptam with an incredible army force with him. His flagship, a Victory-class Star Destroyer, destroyed the Asterois Base of the Leptam Republican Army. He then proceeded to move with an entire Corp of Shock Troops into Leptami and re-took the city. He captured all members of the LRA and either executed them (as he did with Arexal Deenis), or sent them off to hard prison labor.

Captain Xavier Trent

Background: Captain Trent is a darker shade Mon Cal with very light spots all over his body. Walking with a confident stride and a general air of control about him, Trent is one of the senior officers in Admiral Ackbar's personal cabinet of military advisors. Trent was born on Mon Calamari but was taken aboard a charter to Alderaan where he was orphaned for unknown reasons. He was, therefore, raised by human parents and given a human name, which, surprisingly, he still keeps with pride. Trent joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic shortly before Alderaan was destroyed and took safe haven on a Rebel Base near Quixa B in the Colonies.

Trent was always a military officer in heart, never gaining much of the spotlight, yet slowly working his way up in command. He followed orders, and executed them well. By the Battle of Endor he was given the rank of Captain and the command of the Nebulon-B Assault Frigate Sunbeam. Trent took the Sunbeam into battle at the Siege of Coruscant where he was one of the surviving victors. Calamari began to manufacture more capital ships and Trent was invited back to his homeworld where he was given command of the MC-80a cruiser Orion and a position as Admiral Ackbar's Chief of Staff, War Division.

Interesting facts: Captain Trent commanded the Orion until it was almost destroyed and made unsalvageable at a battle above Obroa-skai. This defeat was an ambush that Trent could do little about. Trent is currently Captain of Admiral Ackbar's flagship, the MC-90 cruiser Defiance. He has recently been named a senior advisor to Saber team and one of the few who knows their command codes.

Kalec Dren

Background: Kalec Dren was one of the original Guild bounty hunters. This, and the fact that he has acquired a large fortune through his Hunting, is all that is known about Kalec Dren. Dren was looking for his Final Bounty, the Bounty that would allow him to retire, when he met Jovan Everlight. Dren met up with Everlight in the Dantooine System when Everlight went there for badly needed repairs. Dren offered Everlight his assistance. When he accompanied Everlight to the Deegan system, he received confirmation from his Guild Contact, Klecser, that his Final Bounty would be the Jedi Knight he was with. Having moral qualms about killing a Jedi, Dren helped Jovan escape.

Interesting facts: Even though Dren is over 50 years old, he still has the brains to do his work. Through his dealings as a Hunter, Dren acquired a small fortune that allowed him to purchase his ship, the Corel Major, a Sienar Bayonet-class Light Cruiser. His faithful crew are also his friends from 35 years of galactic travel. Dren selected a new Final Bounty after his encounter with Everlight: Klecser.
