Revelation's Comparison

This document I found while roaming the web. I thought it was really very scary and shocking. It gave me the chills. You ought to read it and find out for yourself.

VERSES:

Revelation, Chapter 13, verses 1-3

And the Dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a Beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The Beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The Dragon gave the Beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the Beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the Beast.

Revelation, Chapter 17, verses 6-8

MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMIMATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. And when I saw her, I was greatly astonished. Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the Beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns." The Beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come out of the abyss and go his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the Beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.

Revelation Chapter 17, verses 9-11

This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. The Beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

COMPARISON'S:

Rev 13:1-3

Rev 17:6-8

The extra-terrestrial angel shows John "Mystery Babylon," and John is "astonished" by what he sees. The angel explains, "The Beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come." Hitler was once alive {"once was,"}, then died (or thought to have died){ "now is not."}, and will make a comeback, {"and yet will come"}. If the interpretation holds, there is no doubt the world be "astonished".

Either the angel is playing riddle headgames with John, or some very serious information is being conveyed. John is given more. Is the message intended more for individuals of a future generation, like us?

Rev 17:9-11

...They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other is not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while.

The extra-terrestrial angel used the term "kings," but an analysis of the above verses didn't show anything significant when contemporary kings, presidents, emperors, etc. was employed. However, substituting "pope" for "kings" revealed something interresting.

Papal history reveals a Pope Paul I, II, III, IV, and V. These are the five who have "fallen," or who have already served their terms. Pope Paul VI is the one "who is," or the one currently ruling at the time the angel conveys the message to John. The other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for "a little while." Pope Paul VI was replaced by Pope John-Paul I who apparently suffered a fatal "heartattack" just 33 days after assuming the papal throne! Perhaps the angel couldn't use the word pope because the term had not yet existed, and would have been meaningless to John.

The Beast who once was and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

"The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the `Book of Life' from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the Beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come."
