| How they met | ||
Met while the Cardassians ruled Bajor and Deep Space Nine (then named Terok Nor). She was on a mission of sabotage for the Bajoran Resistance, and when that mission went awry, Odo was assigned to investigate then matter, Kira being the primary suspect in a murder. They did not meet again until Kira was assigned to Deep Space Nine upon the handing over of the station to the Federation. Their relationship has always been one of deep friendship, and, on Odo's part -- unrequited love. |

| How they met | ||
Lt. Cmdr. Worf first came aboard Deep Space Nine at the start of the Klingon Conflict. He was met by his friend from the Enterprise, Chief Miles O’Brien who introduced him to Dr. Julian Bashir. Bashir then introduced him to Major Kira Nerys and Lt. Cmdr Jadzia Dax. Even in their first scene together, Worf and Jadzia had a chemistry between them that was nearly impossible to ignore. She knew and respected his culture, and was, therefore, one of the few people on the station who wasn’t in the least intimidated by him. A friendship formed quickly between them, based on mutual respect and admiration. They shared raktajino, worked out, and confided in each other. Worf opens up to Jadzia; for example, in "Sons of Mogh" her tells her, "…this (his Starfleet commission) is all I have." She takes his hand, non-verbally saying ‘you have me!’, but asking him verbally, "is it enough?" Jadzia refuses to let him brood about things he cannot control; which has, to date, been one of Worf’s worst failings. A young (and still quite naive) Dr. Bashir met Jadzia when she first arrived on DS9. He was instantly entranced with the Trill, not aware that despite her apparent youth, she was the host of a 300 year old symboint, a worm-like creature that became apart of it's host's personality, it's memories and experiences now a part of the Trill's own memories.
