- Ranma - Be careful where you thread -

I left my hope and returned to it.
I left my true friend and she came to me
I left a fight behind and it found me.
I left my mom and she tries to find me.

I left what I was,
will that find me as well?

-Dorillian?

The sound was questioning. It bounced around as if unsure where to go. It left the lips of the thing that had made it and made its way over to a long, transparent tube. Drifting downwards, it spread across a vast system of similar tubes that interconnected with the first. The sound rolled around and leapt on the walls of the tubesystem until it reached an opening. There, it burst free and headed straight down for three levels, right half a mile, ducking below the walkway that hung in mid-air, down to a level filled only with different colored vats. And finally, it reached the ears it was intended for.

-Dorillian?

The voice came from up above. A lonely man in a labcoat cursed quietly and left a large vat of green ooze he had been experimenting on. He walked passed the house sized-aqaurium and stepped into a glowing circle.

At the push of a button, he was gone.

--

Mousse wanted to go back. Not just to the Nekohanten but home. He wanted to go back to china. (What in blazes possesed me to follow Shampoo here? Isn't it enough that she had to follow that woman all the way to japan? Why did I have to go?)

He sat down on a chair that stood close to the door. Letting the water drain out of his clothes. (I will make Ranma pay for what has happened. He will rue the day he defeated my Shampoo in combat)

He absently kicked at Ukyou who was staring at him. She shied away and made a low growling noise. (If only I wouldn't have come. I shouldn't have seen that other girl transform into a dog... dog?)

He took a closer look at the dog he had tried to kick. (That's her, right?) Quickly, before Ukyou could notice, he scooped her up and put her where he put all that other stuff he carried around. In a swift motion he conjured up a note that he left on the table.

--

-Ranma, wait up!

A boy, totally dressed in green clothes, was running along a street. He was also yelling. Fortunately for him (and for the neighbourhood at large) he hadn't inherited too much of his mother's genes.

-RANMA!

He ran back across the street and managed to see something red in a window. Having about as much common sense as your average Hibiki, he entered through the window.

-EEEEEEK! Die,die,die,die.

Soon, he shot out the front door at full speed. Followed by a woman who was waving a backbrush around dangerously. She would have been nude, except for a small red towel that covered all the important parts.

--

Ranma leapt into her seat at the table and waited, and waited, and waited.

Anyone who didn't know Ranma might think that she had been waiting a long while. This was not the case. It was a long while to her, but to everybody else it was two minutes and one half. After that amount of time had passed, she finally went to the kitchen to see if her mother was there.

Nodoka wasn't there. Not wanting the food to go to waste, Ranma looked it over and brought it out to the table. Where she served a generous helping to herself. She was about to "breathe in" the food, as her mother usually refered to the method, when Iruka burst in though the door.

-Ranma, you gotta help me. There's a madwoman on the loose and she wants to kill me!

She looked up at him, then at the food, then at him again. After that her plate was empty.

-Alright, what happened?

Iruka took a deep breath and started retelling the last four minutes. When he was done his face was a shade of crimson that would be hard to duplicate through other means.

-...and I opened the door and saw you. Eerr, I don't think I need your help after all, Ranma. Anyway, do you know a place that I could sleep?

Ranma pointed mutely at the garden outside.

-Eerr, thanks.

Iruka walked up the stairs.

Akane held the postcard in her hands. (He is not going to get away
with this) She crumpled the postcard together and threw it away.

-I am not going through with this!

She stormed out the room and stumbled over a dog that stood in
the doorway. It was holding a small black pig by the neck and both
looked very lost. Nabiki walked by and wondered when she was
going to get rid of the "pests".

-Never, she replied and grabbed the animals by a stranglehold.

All the colors faded away from the area and the black and the white
blended together until everything was grey. Then the fog drifted
apart to reveal a heated furo and two animals franticaly trying to
get away from their upcoming bath. The furo bubled merrily. As
the bubles burst open Akane could have heard a snicker floaing in
the air, she could if she had paid attention.

-Now, there's no need to be afraid. Mommy's just going to clean
you up a little. She grabbed a hold of the dog's tail and lathered it
in. Then she rinsed it with water from the bucket. Next, she did the
same thing to the pig.

-Akane! She heard her dad calling downstairs.
She didn't respond. He wasn't on the list of people she would talk
to until he let go of that ridiculous arranged marriage. She made
sure that her pets couldn't escape and climbed in the furo.
Suddenly her arm was around the waist of a strange girl who in
turn was cradling a very relieved pig. She stared in shock at the
girl, unable to get a word out of her mouth. The girl gently
removed her arm and rose out of the water.

-Thank you, may I and Ryo-chan please leave now?

Akane's eyes just grew. (Where did she come from? Who is she?
What just happened?) She opened her mouth and drew in breath.

-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

*woosh*

The door flew aside. Reavealing a black-haired boy that stared
lecherously at her.

-Duuhr! They're naked together. He, he, he.*

-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Akane practically flew out of the hospital bed. Eyes wide open, she stared around her. Wires where connected to her left arm and both her legs. All the walls where white, the room was totally bare except for the bed and a plant that stood by the door. The plant itself looked like a gigantic venus flytrap. It bulged and pulsated in ways that hinted to it being alive.

She sat down on the bed again and tried to think. Unfortunately she fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.

--
*Think Beavis and Butthead
--

Ukyou closed her eyes. She couldn't stand the non-light that exsisted where she was. It hurt her eyes just to try to see anything. Thankfully it wasn't as if she floated in nothingness. She could feel things pressed against her. One was a long pole-thingy, it pressed against her back. On her head she could feel a hat of some sort and on both sides of her were pillows. She couldn't move, not even when she tried. Had she thought about that fact, she would have corrected herself. All her facial muscles worked, but that was it.

-Help! She cried.

It didn't work. She couldn't hear the words even though she knew that she had shouted them. She thought back to what had happened before she had been put in this place. (Mousse, he did something. What did he do? How long have I been here? Feels like forever) She was partly right. Where she was time didn't move. It didn't stand still, but it didn't move. Everything just was, ready to be plucked out when someone needed it. If a watch was put in there and afterwards plucked out again, it would have to be reset. The watch could have gone for three years or for two seconds, time was irrelevant.

Ukyou felt something tug at her left back paw. Then air moved around her. She tried to open her eyes.

--

Nabiki looked around her again, searching for the parrot that had been hounding her for the last quarter of an hour. She hadn't really gotten to eat anything yet but she had managed to put all the food on the table.
She raised her chopsticks and took a bite of the food. (I wonder where everyone is? And where is that stupid little bird? It should have tried to glomp my leg again.) She put the chopsticks down.

*Flap,Flap*

She heard a faint noise behind her and she tensed up. She turned around and was ready to punt the annoying little pest to kingdom come when she felt herself getting drenched.

-Kraa?

-YES, I knew that this thing was useful for something.
Croahahaha.

--

The flower waited. It could be patient. It was not in its interests to disrupt its creator when she was laughing. It could of course have wished for a shorter laugh.

(Oh well) It released one of its spores into the air and tried to guide the spore to settle on the human in front of it. It worked.
-What will you have me do?
-(*!*)
-Yes!

The flower rocked around (like a monster out of a sentai movie) as it internally cackled with evil laughter. Soon, soon it would rule the world.

--

She opened the door to the restaurant and entered. Immediately she spotted Ryo-chan, sleeping, on the floor. (They really should keep that thing on a leash)

-Ukyou-chan? Are you here? Hello?

She scooped up Ryo-chan, who was still sleeping and noticed a note that lay on the counter. She walked up to the counter and read it.

Ukyou is with me.

Go to Nekohanten if you want her back.

-Mousse

In one swift motion, her katana was drawn. She left the restaurant as quickly as possible. Completely forgetting the sleeping passanger she brought along on the trip.

--

Genma ordered another bottle and emptied it.
-Place it on Soun's tab as usual. He bellowed.

Genma was quite drunk. He had already drunk one, two, four... many bottles and he was up for a record. (unless he had already reached it, in which case he just wanted to get as much in himself as was possible) Aiming a look at the waiter, he saw Kasumi stand in the doorway. She held her hand in front of her mouth and uttered her trademark expression.

-Oh my!

Kasumi made a beeline for the bar, stopped right in front of him and waved her hand over his face.

-Mister Saotome? Are you home?

He growled a bit. He realised he wanted to say something to her, so he took in a lot of breath.

-MY son... Ranma is my SON! Martial Artist, you see? He takes care of anyboby. There's no trouble. If there's a probem, I'd worry about a bropem! Ranma's boy right? No boy of mine has a roblem. NOT Ranma!

-Mister Saotome! She exclaimed. I am taking you home.

Then she grabbed his arm and dragged him out.

--

(Hold on, what's this?) The wolf looked at a small shiny object stuck in the ground beside it. (It's a... spoon?) The wolf tried to look closer. (Why would a spoon be stuck in the ground of a pit that is growing? Does it actually have any relevance?) It grabbed the spoon with its jaw and pulled it out of the ground. (There, now I can get a better look at this thing) (Huh?)

The pit had disapeared. The wolf was now standing in a slightly damp, one inch high depreesion. (Magic?) It saw the house through the rain. (I suppose that's where he headed. Well, I'll just do the same) The wolf trotted over to the house and walked in.

--

Ranma finished eating. She had made sure that there was enough food left for Uchan and her mom and she was taking her plate to the kithen sink where they belonged. (I wonder where mom is? It's not like her to be gone during foodtime) Putting the plate down, she walked outside. (I wish Hayai was here.)

The rain was whaining. It wouldn't last much longer. (Why do I want Hayai near me? She looks like a cat!) Ranma walked out into the rain. (This is too much. I'm going to look for mom and Uchan and I'll worry about cats later)

--

-So you don't think that this is such a good idea?
-NO I DON'T! I HAVE NO INTENTION OF MARRYING!
-Hush, there's no need to scream. Besides, you aren't the one marrying him are you?
-Okay so I'm not but I still don't like it!

*sigh*

Dorillian pointed to the door demonstratively.
-You'd better go before they getworried.

*pling*

The door gently closed behind her. He walked back to the glowing ring.
-Things never turn out as you plan them, do they? He said into thin air before he threw the switch and vanished.

--

-Come, child. You don't want to miss this.

Cologne waved Shampoo over to the pot she was stirring. It was a normal pot that stood on the stove. It was made of the same things as any other pot. It's contents bubbled and gurggled when it should. It would burn you if you touched it, but that was ordinary considering that the stove it was on, was on. There was nothing that hinted at anything extraordinary about it. In fact as was stated before, the pot was perfectly ordinary.

-Look at this. What do you see?

Shampoo looked at the pot.

-Nothing?

Cologne made a swipe at Shampoo's head with her staff that Shampoo easily slid beneath. She then pointed the staff at the pot.

-Look inside the pot.

Shampoo looked inside the pot.
-Shampoo no understand what she look for.

Cologne tapped the staff annoyedly on the floor.
-It's what's inside that counts. That my dear child is a potion that will make Ranma be able to be around your cat form.

Shampoo bounced up and down in exhileration.
-Shampoo finally get Ranma right. Shampoo so happy.

*boom*

The pot exploded, covering the hole room with the gook that had been cooking in it before. Cologne quickly took out a glass of cold water and dumped it over Shampoo.

-Roll around now and I'll scrape some off the walls for Ranma later.

Author's notes:
Ranma-sama will be so pleased when he knows that I've done a good thing.
Here goes.
This is a fanfic and the author has no hold or permition to use these characters like he does. Also no one has any rights to make any sort of money on this.
C and C would be appreciated...
What's C and C?
Flames would be also, if only because there are so few replies in any case. He would like this place to be torched? I could arrange for it.
That's all.
Hmm well, I'll come back with gas and a lighter later. Goodbye.
