MISCELLANEOUS THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW First of all, the Special Meter has changed since Night Warriors. Instead of being similar to the X-Men: CoTA Special Meter, it's like the Marvel Super Heroes Special Meter. Apparently there is no limit to how many bars you can get. The counter just keep getting higher. There probably is, but chances are you'll never reach it so don't worry about it. As always, you can gain Special Meter by performing any attack, hitting your opponent, or getting hit. When you have one or more bars of Special, you can do an ES or EX. For those that don't know, ES stands for Enhanced Special and EX is short for EXtra special. An ES is a stronger form of a special move done by pressing 2 punch of kick buttons when doing the move. For example, to do the ES version of Morrigan's Soul Fist do the regular motion (D, DT, T) but this time, press two punch buttons. An EX is a powerful, unique move done using more elaborate joystick motions. ES and EXs use 1 bar of Special. Some EXs use 2 or more. When on the floor, press T or B + Punch or Kick to roll or slide forward or backward and get up. When the opponent is on the floor, press U + Punch or Kick to hit him/her/it before he/she/it gets up. An ES version of the Pursuit Attack is possible by pressing U + 2 punches or kicks. You can still land on your feet after being thrown by pressing T + punch. Tech. Hits save you about half the energy loss you would have experienced. In the middle of the block stun, press punch or kick rapidly to push your opponent away. For some reason, this is also called Tech. Hit. Everyone now has this thing called Dark Force. It is initiated by pressing a punch and kick button of the same strength simultaneously. During Dark Force, a special backgorund appears and you have special powers depending on the character used. A meter appears under the life markers that slowly depletes. When you get hit, a chunk of the meter disappears. When the meter runs out, a life marker (yours or your opponent) is gone, or when you press the same buttons you used to start Dark Force, it ends. It takes 1 bar of Special. Speaking of life markers, let me explain what they are. Vampire Savior eliminates the normal system (rounds) and adopts Killer Instincts type of play. When the energy meter runs out, you lose a life marker (symbolized by a bat). The opponent retains the energy he/she/it has and the fight continues. When you lose both life markers, you lose the match. There is even a new way to lose energy. When you get hit, part of the energy you lose turns white. This white part slowly turns back into the green part (which is the energy you have left). I'm not exactly sure what attack will turn what percentage of the energy lost white. I am sure that all energy lost by blocking any special move will turn white. Everybody has a Guard Cancel, done by pressing T, D, DT + Punch or Kick. It must be done during the block stun, which is when you are knocked back when you block an attack. It is usually a Dragon Punch-like move. Do any special move while getting up or after a block stun and it will be counted as a reversal. Most Guard Cancels and all reversals can be ESed. Now a trend in Capcom games, you can now taunt by pressing start. You can taunt as many times as you want, it doesn't really matter. In a one player game, you fight 6 fighters in 6 different locations. Then you fight your boss. Some fighters have Jedah as the last boss, others fight Jedah before their boss. In other words, you either fight Jedah last or next to last. The locations, not the fighters, are represented by symbols: Fetus of God: Infinity symbol (Jedah, [Demitri if you are Jedah]) Vanity Paradise: Star (Lilith, Sasquatch, Hsien-Ko) Concrete Cave: Eye (John Talbain, Baby Bonnie Hood) Forever Torment: 3 triangles (L. Raptor, Victor) Deserted Chateau: Diamond (Morrigan, Lilith) War Agony: Missile or Bomb (Victor, Baby Bonnie Hood) Feast of the Damned: Bat (Demitri, [Morrigan if you are Demitri]) Red Thirst: Triangle (Anakaris) Green Screem: I can't tell, maybe a flower (Rikuo, Q-Bee, Sasquatch) Iron Horse, Iron Terror: Skull (different depending on who you are) C. THE FIGHTERS The order in which the fighters appear is my personal ranking. It's my opinion you don't have to listen to it, but hey... it's my FAQ. Jedah This guy has moves for any occasion, which is why I like him. However, I really suck at him for now. Dio Sehga D, DT, T + Punch He throws a circular blade which spins the air until 2 seconds later or it hits the opponent. It is thrown at different angles, depending on the button used: 1=low, 2=straight, 3=high. If done in mid air: 1=flies straight, 2=floats down 3=floats down a bit further. ES: He throws a huge blade that hits up to 5 times. Nero Fatica D, DB, B + punch Jedah slides back while clawing the air. If the opponent touches the claw marks he/she/it is trapped in a bubble (it's supposed to be blood) and is cut with a scythe made from his wings. This can't be blocked, so avoid it by ducking. ES: If it connects, he does two attacks, followed by a scythe. Ira Splinta T, DT, D, DB, B + Kick (then punch) This has to be done in mid air. He floats a bit, then dives at the opponent. If he touches him/her/it, he lifts him/her/it up, slams him/her/it up and drills the opponent using his wings. ES: The drill does more damage and there's more "blood". If you press punch while he's floating, he turns into the circular blade and dives at his opponent. The lower the strength used, the steeper the dive. ES: The blade hits more. The ES is done by pressing 2 punches, not by doing the ES of the first move. Splecio T, D, DT + punch He cuts of his head and the blood sprays the opponent. This is a Guard Cancel only. Vertical Dash D, U He flies up and back, like Morrigan. Air Dash dash in midair (duh) What's unique is that this is an attack in itself and will hit the opponent if he/she/it is to close. Name Unknown T, DT, D, DB, B + kick Jedah connects a pump to the opponent and starts blowing up a body part until it explodes. This is a special throw. ES: Unknown Dark Force Santo Ario Basically, he now can fly around. EX Plova Di Selbo B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks, then another kick He cuts his wrists and way too much blood starts flowing. At the second kick press, the blood turns into a hand. If it grabs the opponent, it slams and rubs him/her/it into the ground and slams him into a stone contract as it leaves a bloody mark. As he/she/it falls down, a sphere gets absorbed into Jedah's body. By the way, this is unblocklable. EX Finale Rosso D, D + 2 punches Jedah sticks his hand in the ground and a pool of blood with hands sticking out appears directly under the opponent. The hands drag the opponent in and the hands attack and throw the opponent back out. This is also unblockable. Morrigan Aensland I like her because she is fast and has a lot of good attacks. Plus she's also weird. Soul Fist D, DT, T + punch She fires a bat surrounded by energy, which eventually fades away. Using 3 makes it go farther. In the air, she fires it diagonally down. ES: She fires a huge projectile which hits 3 times. Shadow Blade T, D, DT + punch It's a Dragon Punch. What more do you want? This is her Guard Cancel. ES: It hits more in the air. Kinda like Sagat's Tiger Claw in SFA. Vertical Dash D, U She flies back and up. Pressing any other direction results in a dash in that direction. Vector Drain T, DT, D, DB, B + kick She grabs the opponent, flies up and slams her into the ground. This is a Special Throw. ES: Same thing, except she spins more and more damaging. Dark Force Astral Vision A double appears on the other side of the screen and mirrors her normal moves. This doubles attack damage, but for normal moves only. EX Valkrie Turn T, DT, D, DB, B + kick She flies off and comes back with her body turned into a drill. The button used determines where she starts drilling: 1=low, 2=middle, 3=real high. EX Darkness Illusion 1, 1, T, 4, 3 Morrigan floats forward a small distance. If it hits the opponent, she creates a double and they beat the opponent like Reginald Denney. EX Finishing Shower 2, 1, B, 4, 5 She floats back and starts firing a barrage of missiles. EX T, 3, 2, 1, T Her hand extends across the entire screen. If it's not blocked, then you get shocked, kinda. Rikuo I like him because he has damaging moves and good combos. Sonic Wave Charge B, then T + Punch He lets out these rings. If they hit, they stun the opponent. If they hit in the air they float for a while. If hit by any attack while floating, they fall to the ground. ES: Greater range and a little more damage, plus they are stunned longer. Poison Cloud Charge B, then T + Kick He puffs out a poison cloud. If it hits, the opponent is left dizzy. The button used determines where the cloud ends up: 1=close, 2=middle of screen, 3=other end of screen. ES: The Cloud fills the whole screen Trick Fish B, B + Kick or T, D, DT + Kick for Guard Cancel He dashes back and flies upward feet first. This can be used to get out of a corner, but only if it doesn't hit the opponent because this doesn't follow through. As the Guard Cancel, it is obviously done differently. ES: It hits more. Cataract Cry T, DT, D, DB, B + punch He grabs the opponent, hits him/her/it twice and slams the opponent. This is a Special Throw. ES: He hits him/her/it more before slamming the opponent into the ground. Name Unknown T, DT, D + Kick He throws the opponent in the air, turns into an oyster and spits pearls at the opponent. This is a throw. ES: More pearls followed by the Trick Fish. Dark Force Ocean Rage The screen is filled with water and Rikuo rides a sled, but you can get off by jumping. While on the sled, he does crouching attacks. During Dark Force, he doesn't get stunned when he gets hit, but he can't block. EX Aqua Spread T, DT, D + 2 punches or 2 kicks His arms turn into tentacles and as long as you hold down the buttons, he drops water along the ground. When he lets go, a pillar of water appears where the last drop was. EX Water Jail T, D, DT + 2 punches He creates a huge bubble that can't be blocked. It goes away when he's hit. If the opponent gets trapped, it drains energy until Rikuo hits the trapped opponent. EX Sea Rage B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 punches Water starts rushing across the ground. This is blocked high. EX Direct Scissors D, D + 2 punches This is the fluke EX. It's a crouching fierce and even if it hits, it causes minimal damage. The messed up part is that it uses three bars of Special Meter. Demitri Maximoff I don't like him that much because he's too much like Ryu and Ken, too predictable. Chaos Flare D, DT, T + punch He fires a bat surrounded by fire. If it hits the bat starts chomping the opponent. Much different than before. Can be done in the air. ES: The same size, only 1 hit, it just does more damage. Demon Cradle T, D, DT + Punch He spins upward with his cape turned into bat wings. When doing the D, DT part during a dash, he spins diagonally. ES: It hits more, like Ken's Shinryuken. Bat Spin D, DB, B + Kick He disappears and reappears above the opponent and turns into a drill and drives into the opponent. You can dissapear in mid air. ES: He keeps drilling until he reaches the ground. Negative Stolen 360 + punch It is done and looks like the Spinning Pile Driver. This is a special throw. ES: Unknown EX Demon Pillion D, T, DT + 2 kicks He turns into a swarm of bats and they fly forward. EX Midnight Bliss D, T, DT + 2 punches He floats forward a bit. If he touches the opponent, lifts him/her/it by the neck, turns him into a girl (if she is already, then he turns her into something else) and sucks the energy from her. EX Midnight Pleasure 1, 2, T, 5, 5 He floats forward. If he catches the opponent, he bites the opponent and attacks before throwing him/her/it. Oh, yeah, this takes 2 levels of Special. It's worth it because it ain't blockable. Hsien-Ko I like her because she has all these implements of destruction at her fingertips, literally. The moves in parentheses are not translations (as far as I know), they are just the English names. Ankihou (random object throw) D, DT, T + punch She throws random objects at her opponent. The button used determines how she throws them: 1=straight across, 2=a high arc, 3=straight up, then straight down. ES: She throws 3 spiked balls across the floor. Henkyouki (Reflect Gong) D, DB, B + punch She pulls out a gong and bangs it. The resulting wave hits and reflects projectiles. This can be done in the air. ES: The wave is longer and hits more. Senpuubu (Guillotine Swing) T, D, DT + punch She whips out a chain and swings back and worth while spinning. Tap punch to get more hits, kick to let go of the chain early. This is also her Guard Cancel. ES: She swings more. Houtengeki T, DT, D, DB, B + punch She tosses her opponent up and catches him/her/it with her blades and she spins on her back. This is a special throw. ES: Unknown Dark Force Rimoukon Mei-Ling returns to normal, letting Hsien-Ko run wild. She doesn't get stunned when she's hit, she's faster and more powerful. EX Chireitou B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks She sticks her hands in the ground and sends out huge blades in a wave pattern. EX Chuukadan B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 punches She throws out a time bomb. Anyone that hits hit will make it bounce. When it blows up, it will do damage to whomever is near it. EX Tenraiha 4, 6, 2, 2, U She drops a huge weight which causes an earthquake which must be blocked low. Then she lets out all these spiked balls that can cause huge damage. Baby Bonnie Hood Other than Hsien-Ko, this is the funniest character. She's a serial killer dressed up as Red Riding Hood. Her fierce attacks are an uzi with limited range, exactly the fire blasts from her gun. Her roundhouse attacks are mines. Smiling Missile Charge B, then T + punch or kick She fires a missile out of her basket. The missiles have limited range and 3 and 6 flies the farthest. Press punch top do 'em high, kick to do 'em low. ES: The missile has unlimited range and hits 3 times. Happy Missile Charge D, then U + punch She jumps up and fires a missile diagonally downward. ES: Same as the Smiling Missile. Shy Strike D, DB, B + punch She swings her basket. Hold down the button to delay the swing. ES: The basket does more damage. Cheery Fire T, D, DT + punch She holds a champagne bottle which spits flame upwards. Used as a defense against air attacks. ES: The flame is spitted out longer. Jealousy & Fake T, D, DT + kick She teleports behind the opponent, leaving a doll. This can only be done as a Guard Cancel. Around & Around T, DT, D, DB, B + Punch If she grabs the opponent, she dances around him/her/it, eventually creating a whirlwind that sends the opponent up, then down. This is a special throw move. ES: Unknown Sneak Attack D + 3 kicks She dives at her opponent, lying down. Dark Force The Killing Time All her punch attacks become missiles. If you do the Smiling Missile motion, it automatically becomes ESed. EX Cool Hunting B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 punch She lifts the blanket from her basket and two guys pop out with a big missile launcher and all of them start busting caps. BB's gun has the same range as her fierce attacks. The missiles usually sail over a standing opponent (except Anakaris, who is the only one tall enough). EX Beautiful Memory B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks She jumps forward with knives in her hands while she remembers her grandma. If she catches the opponent, she slices, cries and slams her opponent in the pool of tears. EX Apple for You T, DT, D, DB, B + 2 kicks She sticks out an apple. If the opponent touches it, she ducks while the apple explodes in the opponent's face. John Talbain Honestly, I would mention him earlier, but he's so boring after a while. Beast Laser D, DT, T + punch He flies forward surronded by energy. Press punch again and any direction to make him do another one in that direction. When done in the air, he goes diagonally downward. T, D, DT + punch Same thing except he goes diagonally up. It can be repeated the same way. ES: He can repeat and change directions 5 times. Climb Kick D, U, + kick He flips up, kinda like Guile and Charlie's Flash Kick. ES: The kick hits more and does more damage. Million Flicker D, DB, B + punch He whips out nunchuks and starts swinging. Keep pressing punch to keep swinging. ES: He swings more and faster. Wild Circular T, DT, D, DB, B + Kick He grabs the opponent and tosses and slams him/her/it back. This is a special throw. ES: He slams the opponent twice. Ducking D + 3 kicks He lays real low. Dark Force Mirage Body All these other images appear behind him and follow up his moves. EX Dragon Cannon B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks He sends out a dragon shaped flame that goes across the screen. EX Moment Slice 1, 2, T, 4, 5 If it manages to catch the opponent, Talbain claws upwards, slicing the opponent. Felicia I don't like her that much anymore because she lost some real good moves. Rolling Punch D, DT, T + punch (,punch) She curls into a ball and rolls forward. At the second punch press, she does a leaping uppercut. ES: The ball hits more and so does the leaping uppercut. Cat Spike T, D, DT + punch She throws a ballon and then pounces it. The ball and the pounce are supposed to hit. ES: She jumps straight up, and throws the ball downward. Delta Kick T, D, DT + kick She kicks straight up, then starts kicking diagonally downward. This is also her Guard Cancel. ES: She kicks more coming down, resulting in major damage. Special Pursuit D, D + punch You must be close to the fallen opponent. Felicia will scratch the chest the opponent. ES: More scratches. Special Meter Charge D, D + 2 Kicks She slowly charges the Special Meter. Hold the buttons to keep charging. Hell Cat T, DT, D, DB, B + kick She grabs her opponent, then spins around tearing up the opponent. This is a throw move. ES: Unknown Dark Force Kitty the Helper Another little kitty comes up and follows her around. When Felicia attacks, the friend pounces on the opponent adding a hit. EX Dancing Flash B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 punches She rolls forward in the EX colors. If she hits the opponent, she starts punching and kicking, ended by a leaping uppercut. Don't confuse the motion of this with the ES Rolling Punch. EX Please Help Me B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks She calls on her friend who appears according to which 2 kick buttons you press: 4+5=friend runs across, 5+6=friend jumps to the corner, 4+6=friend drops from the middle of the screen. If the friend misses or is blocked, Felicia can't do a damn thing until the friend is gone. Lilith She reminds me a lot of Dan. First she has most of Morrigan's normal attacks, and alternate versions of her special moves. Soul Flash D, DT, T + punch She throws a heart. Like Dan's Gadouken, very short range. This can be done in the air. ES: The heart is pretty much indestructable and it goes a little bit longer, but a whole lot slower. Shining Blade T, D, DT + punch Her wings turn into a blade and she jumps up. This is her Guard Cancel. ES: Again, like Dan's Kouryureppa, she does 3 Shining Blades in place. Soul Spin D, DB, B + kick She spins with her wings turned into blades. The good thing about this is that if an opponent jumps behind you, do this and you'll still hit him/her/it. ES: It hits more. High Jump D, U Exactly what it sounds like. She jumps higher and farther. Substitute Arrow T, DT, D, DB, B + punch She jumps forward, tries to grab her opponent, changes her wings into a bow, and shoots the opponent to the wall. This is a special throw. ES: More damage. Dark Force Mindless Doll Pressing 3+6 will create a double that follows her every move. Anything else is like Morrigan's Dark Force. EX Splendor Love T, D, DT + 2 kicks She flies up semi-nude with bats circuling her. She can still get hit by a stray air projectile. EX Luminous Vision 1, 1, T, 4, 3 Her version of the Darkness Illusion. EX Gloomy Puppet Show B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks She throws a top hat. If it hits, he/she/it is all strung up and she says, "Showtime!". Press the buttons that are flashing next to your opponent in a very steady motion. Do it correctly and you'll get extra points. This uses 2 levels of Special meter. Q-Bee Not a lot of useful moves, but she's okay. C oø R D, DT, T + punch She floats forward. If she's not blocked, she stings her opponent in the stomach multiple times before slamming him/her/it. This can be done in the air. ES: She creates a hive around her opponent, dies, then another Q-Bee pops out and cracks the hive. /_\ A (delta A) D, DB, B + kick She flies to the corner and flies down, stinger first. This can be done in the air. The stronger the button the less steeper the angle she comes down. ES: The opponent is poisoned. S x p tap kick repeatedly She stings repeatedly, like Chun Li's famous Lighning Kick. R. M. T, D, DT + kick She stings upward. Can only be done as a Guard Cancel. ƒtd T, DT, D, DB B + punch She sticks her stinger in the opponent, then launches the stinger and the opponent to the wall. This is a Special Throw. ES: Unknown Dark Force I^2 She flies around. EX Qj T, D, DT + 2 punch She creates a bubble of honey which bounces around. If it hits, it traps the opponent. Unlike Rikuo's bubble move, this can be blocked. EX +B B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks She calls on all these bees which go toward the opponent. If they hit, more bees come and mess the opponent up. Lord Raptor Actually, it a tie between him and the next guy. He's the only one who speaks English as far as I can tell. Death Copter D, DB, B + kick He flies up with his arms rotating. In the air, he flies diagonally down. ES: It hits more instead of just once. Skull Sting D, U + kick He jumps up, turns his leg into a mini circular saw and goes straight down. ES: It hits a lot more. Hell's Gate B, DB, D, DT, T + kick Le Marta swallows him and spits him back out in another place. In other words, it's a teleport. Death Phrase T, D, DT + kick He whips out the guitar and plays a wave that stuns the opponent (doesn't knock down). This is his Guard Cancel. Skull Punish T, DT, D, DB, B + punch He grabs the opponent, slams him/her/it down and continues to punch while on the ground. This is a special throw. ES: More punches. Dark Force Ultimate Undead Le Marta turns into a chain saw. All his attacks involve chainsaws and he can even hit you if you get near him. No special moves can be done during this time. EX Evil Scream T, B + 2 punches He does his standing fierce and flashes the EX colors. If he hits the opponent, he follows up with an uppercut. EX Death Voltage T, DT, D, DB, B + 2 kick This is the electrified version of the Death Copter. Much more powerful than ES. EX Hell Dunk T, D, DT + 2 punches Le Marta opens his big mouth and tries to swallow you. If he does, he spits you out into a ball, turns into a backboard and Raptor slams dunks the opponent. ("I got a basketball jones, I got a basketball jones" from Space Jam Soundtrack...like to sing it when I do this). Bishamon Would have liked this character if he used something other than his sword. Would have liked him more if I could beat him the first time around. The moves in parentheses are not translations, just the english name. Karame Tamashii (Soul Stun) B, DB, D, DT, T + punch He sends out those two little flames he has on his shoulders. If he hits you on the ground, you're dizzy for a while. If it hits you in the air, you get knocked back down. Doing this in the air and he'll send them diagonally downward. ES: It's bigger and does more damage. Even stuns a little bit longer. Tamashii Yose to Kienzan (Soul Summon to Upper Slash) B + punch, T, D, DT + punch If the Karame Tamashii stuns, the first move draws in the opponent, the second does a sword uppercut while he/she/it is really close. ES: The uppercut hits more. Tsuji Hayate (Storm Slash) D, DT, T + punch If the Karame Tamashii stuns, do this move and he will run the opponent through twice. ES: The sword runs through, then a spirit appears above the opponent and forces the opponent to commit harakiri (suicide). Kienzan T, D, DT + punch This is the same move as above. It's his dragon punch, basically. It can only be done as a Guard Cancel or a reversal. ES: It hits more. Iai Giri (Quick Slash) Charge B, then T + punch or kick He does a quick cross slash. Pressing punch slashes high, kick slashes low. ES: He slashes more, resulting in more hits. Kirisut Gomen 360 + punch If you thought he could do the Kienzan whenever he wanted to, this was why. If he grabs you, he does the Kienzan. This is a throw move. ES: Again, the Kienzan hits more. Dark Force Ohgon Katabira During Dark Force, he doesn't get stunned when he gets hit. However, the energy he loses cannot be regained (it doesn't turn white). EX Sidewalk Slice D, D + 2 punch This is a special pursuit attack that takes 1 level of special. It just slices the opponent in half. If used to finish the opponent and win the match, the lower half of the opponent's body stays on the ground while the upper half is on a table behind Bishamon. EX Oni Kubi Hineri T, DT, D, DB, B + 2 punches A huge hand comes out from his armor. If it grabs you, it squeezes you. You can't block this. EX Enma Seki B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks A stone glides across the ground. If it's not blocked low, heavier stones continue to fall under the opponent. Sasquatch He's strong, but he's slow and hardly has any moves I can use. Big Breath D, DT, T + punch He breathes out and the breath freezes the opponent. ES: Unknown Big Blow T, D, DT + punch He winds up and punches the opponent. Hold punch to make him wind up longer. ES: Unknown Typhoon Kick T, D, DT + kick He sticks his foot out and spins it around. I think this is his Guard Cancel. ES: The foot hits more. Ice Tower D, D, + punch He ducks and surrounds himself with ice. If he's touched, the ice freezes the opponent. ES: He ducks and sends a wave of icicles across the ground. Big Blanche T, DT, D, DB, B + punch If he grabs the opponent, he swallows him/her/it and spits him/her/it out frozen and vulnerable. This is a special throw. ES: Unknown Big Swing 360 + kick He grabs the opponent by the legs and swings him around leaving him dizzy for a while. This is another special throw. ES: Unknown Dark Force Big Resistor He can't be stunned when he's hit. Pressing ____ will result in penguin bombs following up his attacks EX Big Freezer B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 punches He fires a huge beam from his mouth that freezes the opponent. EX Big Eisbahn B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kick He blows on the ground, freezing it. If your opponent is on the frozen ground, he/she/it slips, falls through and gets thrown out by a tail frozen. EX Big Sledge 720 + 2 kicks He does the throwing motion. If he grabs the opponent, he uses him/her/it as a sleigh and rides it and hits him with his butt. Anakaris He's not last because he has a lot of useful moves. He's not on top because he is the slowest thing here. Coffin Drop D, D + punch He drops a coffin from out of nowhere. The stronger the button, the farther away the coffin drops. ES: Coffins start droping from all over. Royal Curse D, DT, T + punch He sends out a group of soul at the opponent. If they hit, they turn the opponent into something else. During this time, the opponent can't block. Spell of Turning D, DB, B + punch (D, DT, T + punch) Press the first motion to absorb any projectile. Press the second to spit it back out. Swallowing two will result in the ES version going out. ES: Now able to absorb ES projectiles Cobra Blow B, T + punch His arms turn into a giant cobra and strike across the screen. The stronger the button used, the longer the strike and the more hits. If the cobra gets hit, you get damage. ES: Covers the entire screen and gets a lot of hits. Mummy Drop D, DT, T + punch He sends out his hands and they try to grab the opponent. If they do, he/she/it is wrapped up, swung a little and slammed. The stronger the button you use, the farther away the hands will appear. If you hit the hands, he gets full damage. ES: The hands slowly float forward. If they grab the opponent, he/she/it is sent into the coffin, it jumps up and down, then he/she/it is kicked out. The Word of Truth T, D, DT + 2 punch This can only be done as his Guard cancel. I've never done it so I don't know what it does. This may be an EX move since it takes 1 level from the Special meter. Dark Force Pharaoh Split The lower half of Anakaris' body walks off. The lower half is invincible, but the upper half can't block. EX The Pit to the Underworld B, DB, D, DT, T + 2 kicks He creates a portal that sends his opponent flying from the ceiling. EX The Pit to the Underworld 2 T, D, DT + kick Only works if the opponent his jumping towards him. Anakaris will grab him in midair. EX Pharaoh Magic 5, 1, D, 4, 2 He sends a group of souls that shock, burn, and freeze the opponent, then finish it with a coffin. EX Pharaoh Magic 2 6, 2, D, 5, 3 This time, along with the other stuff, the opponent is also petrified and cursed before the coffin slams upside down on him. 4 other mummies are joining the opponent. This takes 2 levels. EX Pharaoh Magic 3 6, 2, 4, D, 1, 5, 3 Much more powerful. Uses 3 levels. Victor von Gerdenhim He's slow. He also has the worst dash. That's all I have to say. Giga Fist Charge D, then U + punch He jumps up and sends a huge fist downward that must be blocked high. ES: I guess it hits more. Giga Stake Charge B, then T + punch He rushes forward with a huge head butt. ES: The head butt hits more. Giga Burn T, D, DT + kick He jumps up with a flying knee. This is his Guard Cancel. ES: It hits more. Gyro Crush D, DB, B + punch A spinning clothesline foolowed by a punch. ES: More hits from the spinning clothesline. Mega Shock D, DT, T + kick He grabs the opponent and starts squeezing. Keep tapping kick for more squeezing. This is a special throw. ES: Squeezes longer Mega Spike 360 + punch He grabs the opponent, knocks him/her/it up with a knee, grabs the opponent in midair and slams him/her/it back down to the ground. ES: Unknown Short Jump D + 3 kicks A very small hop. It avoids low attacks. Dark Force Great Gerdenheim Pressing 3+6 will automatically make all of his normals electrified (normally, you have to press down first). Anything else and all of his punch attacks turn into grabs. Plus his dash is better but that's no excuse. EX Thunder Break Charge D, then U + 2 kicks He jumps up and slams the ground sending electricity along it. This can be blocked, but is hard to avoid. EX Gerdenheim 3 720 + 2 kicks I have never seen it done, I just know it exists. D. THINGS I NEED As you can plainly see, this FAQ is very incomplete. Here is a list of things I need: The name and the description of the ES version of Jedah's special throw. A description of all the ES versions of the special throws, except Bishamon's and Raptor's. The ES versions of the moves that can only be done as Guard Cancels, except Bishamon's. In other words, everything I said I don't know, I need. In this game, a lot of Japanese is spoken. As a public service I would like to have those sayings translated, but since I can't translate it or write down what they are saying into romanized Japanese correctly, I will need the help of someone who can. Most of the names I used and the special moves I got were posted on the arcade machine by Capcom. The others I got from his FAQ. Unfortunately, he doesn't update his FAQ, even though I send him corrections and additional stuff, but he doesn't do a damn thing so I take matters into my own hands. Before I leave, here are a few tricks: Go to the ? slot when you select your character. Press start 5 times, then press any button to select your character (random, of course). You should see a huge shadowy figure behind your fighter. Now, if you win, the shadow will leave you and possess your opponent. You now control your opponent for the next match. This keeps going on and on. The end boss is Jedah. There is no real ending for this mode since the person you fight as last is never the same person. To fight the secret Hannya press punch when selecting a charcater on the 1P side and press kick when selecting on the 2P side. Finish the game without losing a life marker and get 3 EX or Dark Force finishes. To play as a different John Talbain (supposedly the one from Night Warriors) hold Start, go to Talbain and press all 3 punches or all 3 kicks. There is supposedly no difference other than the winning pose, the form of the Dragon Cannon (it's the old one from Night Warriors), and the fact that he is glowing. You can control the winning pose a character does the same way you did in Street Fighter Alpha 2. As soon as you win, hold start and the indicated button. The button you use determines which pose you do. Again, since I don't know Japanese, I'm merely guessing the correct spelling based on what I hear. Rikuo Jab or Short: He flexes or flashes his fins and says something in a gargly voice. Strong or Forward: Lily pads pop up and Rikuo jumps up and sits on the big one. Fierce or Roundhouse: A pile of pearls form and Rikuo sits on top. Baby Bonnie Hood Jab: Poses with a fist forward saying, "Dote!" Strong and Forward: A servant appears out of the basket, hands her a pile of papers, says, "Haiji ware ojo-sama." and bows. She thumbs through them smoking a cigarette and says, "oru ga ke, shizeru wo ne." Fierce: A spotlight shines on her, a mic drops down and she starts saying a "remixed" version of the Smiling Missile yell. Short: 3 fist poses saying, "Dote, dote, date, oni!" Roundhouse: Demitri Jab: Bows and says, "Hm, morukai." Strong: Laughs and flares intensly. Fierce and Roundhouse: 3 hooded women walk in, they kneel, Demitri turns his back and says, "Moto shuru tatayo" Short and Forward: Does Jab pose and says, "kiyunda!" Taunt: Does the summoning hand motion and says, "Come on!" or "Let's play!" Felicia Jab: Turns back into a cat and meows. Strong: Yawns, sees a butterfly, catches it and holds it. Fierce: Same as Strong, except she misses it and gets really disapointed. Short: A ball drops down and a friend appears inside dancing. Forward: She wipes her forhead, spies a mouse that does a wild take, catches it and hangs it by the tail. Roundhouse: Same thing, except she misses and the mouse ends up on her head. Taunt: Ducks down and wimpers. John Talbain Jab: Waves his finger and says, "Tsk, Tsk, Tsk!" Strong: Jumps back and howls. Fierce: Nunchuku pose #1 Short: Nunchucku pose #2 Forward and Roundhouse: Turns back into human form and says, "Koruden." Taunt: Same as jab pose. Night Warriors John Talbain Jab and Strong: Jumps back and howls Everything else: Nunchucku pose Taunt: Same as the other Talbain. Morrigan Jab: The wings turn back into bats, she sits on them and says, "Mata, aton ya yi ge ku." Strong: The wings turn into bats and she jumps up and down and laughs. Fierce and Roundhouse: She transforms into a Chinese outfit complete with hair and says, "Mou, kigeru." Short: She transforms into a short top and short skirt and says, "Mikop oshidun." Forward: She wears a shirt and pants and says, "Dean rode." Taunt: Jab pose and she says, "Matachi hinono anaha." Lord Raptor Jab: Le Marta turns into a stage and Raptor plays a guitar. Strong: Whips out guitar and plays it, donning long hair. Fierce: Whips out guitar, slides on the floor and plays a riff. Short: In his long hair form, he says, "I'm gonna get you ... death." Forward: Raptor electrifies as he wears a leather jacket. Roundhouse: Raptor and Marta go into a pose. Raptors says, "fi tou," and Marta says, "Wa ta." Jedah Jab and Roundhouse: Breaks into high-pitched laughter. Strong and Forward: Strikes the ground and splits the opponent, taking an orb into his chest, saying, "Wotami taikoda teikichou." Fierce: Turns his wings into the scythe and says, "Sono itochi, moriga saisyu." Short: Does the Taunt pose and says, "Una, koni onio wi." Taunt: Sighs and says, "Hm, yoriga." Q-Bee Jab, Strong and Short: Whips out a big knife and fork, then a whole hive drops down with bees each carrying knives and forks. Fierce, Forward and Roundhouse: Raises her hands and two bees come and sprinkle pollen on her. End
