Jet d'Or is a seedy, lousy place. It smells of stale beer and old cigarette tar. The overhead speakers play Zero Rock (a nihilistic, drum-heavy extention of rock) too loudly and the people in the bar seem uniformly taciturn. None of them look at you, none of them even shift when you open the doors.
