Complete Pokemon Walkthrough

Start and Virdian City

Start a game, get your name and whatever. Jo North to grass and Oak will stop you. He'll let you get your pokemon. I recomend Bulbasaur (even though I got Charmander). Fight your rival and then head north until you reach Virdian City. Get Oak's Parcel and go back to him. He'll give you a pokedex. Now go back to the store in the city and you should buy a few pokeballs to get your pokedex started. Oh, before you leave grab a town map from your rival's sister. Now you go to Virdian Forest. You can capture a pikachu here and a few others. Go through it and fight all the people and pick up items. You'll need them.

Pewter City

You can't leave until you defeat Brock so heal up your pokemon at the PokeCenter. If you can't beat him then just go fight some more wild pokemon for experience points. Brock will give you the Boulder Badge and TM34. Now go to the right and keep going through and fighting the people along the way. When you reach the end there is a PokeCenter for you to heal your pokemon.

Mt. Moon

Here you can gain MANY experience points because of the large numbers of pokemon. Find your way through this miniature maze by exploring all of the areas. At the end you have the choice of a Dome Fossil or a Helix Fossil. Chose one and then your on your way to Cerulean City.

Cerulean City

You need to defeat Misty here. Pikachu does well against her. You'll recieve the Cascade Badge and TM11. You can't buy a bike yet so skip that shop. Get more pokeballs and heal your pokemon. Go north and you will face your rival again. After you defeat him keep heading north. You'll face many trainers and get a nugget at the end. At the very top of the land go right and you'll face more trainers. Then when you are done you are at Bill's house. Change him back to human by doing what he says. He'll give you the S.S. Anne Ticket for helping him. Now the house that was robbed is open. Go through there and beat the Rocket member behind the house. Go over then down. On your way down you will see the DayCare Center where you can leave your pokemon to gain levels. Go through the underground tunnel. Now go down and beat the trainers on the path. Now on to Vermilion City.

Vermilion City and S.S. Anne

Go down the dock in the city and get on the ship. Go into all of the rooms if you like and fight trainers and aquire items. At the end you meet the captain who gives you Cut! Now you can chop down bushes (after you teach it to one of your pokemon). When you leave the boat it sets sail and you will never see it again in the game (unless you start over). Go to the gym and fight Blaine. Rock pokemon are effective against him because they are immune to alot of their attacks. Go to the pokemon fan club. Talk to the leader there and listen to his story now you get a bike voucher. Now go back to Cerulean City and get a bike for FREE!!!. Go to Digletts Cave (use the map) and bring a pokemon who has learned Cut. On route 2 you will come out on the other side of the fence. You can now go into a house and get HM05 if you have 10 or more pokemon. No go back to Virdian City and cut the bush next to the Museum and go inside to recieve Old Amber. No go back to Cerulean City and exit east this time after going through the robbed house again. Fight all of the trainers then go through Rock Tunel. You'll come out west of Lavendertown so head east

Lavendertown

Don't do anything here except for use the PokeCenter and buy things at the shop. Go left and you'll be on Route 8. Soon you'll be in Celadon city by using the Underground Path.

Celadon City

There are many things to do in this town. First go to the Department Store and get some great balls and whatever else you may need. Go to where you first entered the city and go up you'll see a little opening in the trees, so go through it. go until the break apart again. Now you can enter the back par of the Pokemon Mansion and get Eevee on the top floor!!! Leave and go to the house near the bottom of the town and get the coin case from the man in the corner. Now you should head back to the GameCorner. Hit the switch on a poster near the back after you defeat the Team Rocket Member. Now you can go in the basement (a door appeared to your right). Go down and go and find the Lift Key on the 4th level after you beat a guy on that level. Go and use the elavotor on the 2nd floor and go to level 4. Defeat the two guards and the door will unlock and you then fight Giovanni and if you win you get the Silph Scope. Now it's time to go back to Lavendertown right after you beat this city's gym leader Erika to get the Rainbow Badge and TM21.

Lavender Town's: Pokemon Tower

Beat all of the psychics and capture a few ghosts. At the end a restless soul will try to stop you. Kill it and you then must face three more Team Rocket Members. Then you will see Mr. Fuji at the top and when you talk to him he will be flattered you tried to save him and take you back to his house and give you the PokeFlute. Now you can wake that Pokemon who was in your path back on Route 12 (use the map!). But first go back to Celadon City and buy a drink on the roof top of the department store and give it to the guard in the guard house who keeps saying how thirsty he is. He'll let you through and you are in Saffron City!!!

Saffron City

Here you need to go to the gym and defeat Sabrina for the Marsh Badge and TM46. Then go to the Silph Co. building. This one is pretty tough and I recemond getting a map of it from some guide. Try your best and at the end you face Giovanni and get the Masterball. I would save it for MewTwo or just use the cheat code to make 99 of it. (there's only one master ball in the whole game w/out the code!)

Fuchsia City

Now go back on Route 12 (map again...). Wake up the Snorlax with the PokeFlute. Go all the way to Fuchsia City now. Defeat the Gym Leader Koga to get TM06 and the Soul Badge. You need to go to the Safari Zone and find the Secret House. Go in to recieve HM03 Surf!!! Go outside of the Secret House and to your right you will soon find the Warden's Golden Teeth! Take them to the Warden to aquire HM05 which is Strenghth!!! Now leave and go to the left where Snorlax was and look for a bush and cut it down. Go to the top house and go in the side of it and to the other side and then go in that house where a little girl will give you HM02 Fly!!! Very COOL!!! Now surf southwest to get to Seafoam Islands. You can catch many pokemon in there but there are no items to be found. There you can get a legendary Pokemon, Aritcuno. Go to the bottom of the island w/out going in it yet and surf down then left and up until you can see Cinnabar Island!

Cinnabar Island

Victory Road

I can't tell you what to do here you should be able to find your way through here yourself using strength. Move the boulders on the little circles to open the doors. You'll find Moltres here and you only have one chance to get him just like Articuno. Once your through go up into the shop type place and heal your pokemon. Buy Full Restores at the shop. Believe me you'll need them. Continue on through the doors but save right before you do. From there on you will fight the ELITE FOUR and your Rival the champion. Now you are in the Hall of Fame. Congratulations.

On your way out of Mt. Moon there is a little stream you can surf over and down to the Power Plant get Zapdos to go with Articuno and Moltres.

After defeating the Elite Four you can go to Cerulean City and go back up the way you went to Bill's but go left this time and surf down the stream. Go into the Secret Cave and inside await many powerful pokemon and one MewTwo on the 3rd level. You should use you master ball on him! He is at Level 70!!!
