OCCUPATIONS

Jobs, jobs, jobs

Everybody needs a job, that includes NPC's and especially PC's. So now that you know what you want your character to do, what effect does that have on the game. Well, it has two effects, the first is that the PC must know how to do the job and the second is that the character gets better at doing his job.

The skills noted by each occupation is followed by a number. This number is the initial number of points that are gained in that skill the first year that a PC has that job. Each year, add 1 to that number. This reflects a growing compentency with that skill. At the end of character creation, you total up the number of points that a character has in each skill granted by his jobs. You then check the chart below:

Number of points = skill level

1 to 3 = 1
4 to 6 = 2
7 to 12 = 3
13 to 24 = 4
25+ = 5

Once all points are alloted, all points not used, which means all the excess ones become freebie points to be used as regular. By way of example if you have 11 points in melee you have a skill of 2 and 5 freebie points.
