Seeing that Arol had slept, Lora went out again. Arol suddenly found herself flying over the buildings of the school. Then she noticed that all the things were normal except the color was weird -- all things gave a greenish shine -- she felt like standing in a flourescent city. 'It is nearly midnight. How come the things are still so bright?' Arol thought. Suddenly she heard some sort of conversation. The voices would be normal if they were not so high pitched. Arol was sure that she had never heard such high-pitched sound before.
She turned her head and suddenly found two moving white figures in front of the bushes. The voices came from there. The bushes were located at the corner of the school's outward wall. Arol , hid behind the bush, listened to their conversation with curiosty and fright.
'Sister, I am terrifically bored. I want to ...'
'No, you can't. I know what you have done this afternoon. I am ashamed of you!'
'I just want to play with someone...'
'Shut up! You call that playing???'
At this moment, a third white figure appeared.
'You two, go back at once!'
But mom...' said two voices together.
'No!'
They seemed harmless, Arol thought. Curiosity drove her to go to the figures.
The three figures noticed Arol. They stopped talking. When Arol went near enough, she saw that each of the figures were like a slim cluster of white, shining smoke, whose top part gave shades that looked like a human face. The one who was called 'mum looked like a woman adn the other two had children faces
Arol did not know what to say. So she instinctly said, 'May I help you?'
The faces gave surprised expressions. One with a woman's faced said, 'Aren't you afraid of us?'
Arol suddenly froze. Something cold tickled her mind and ran down her spine. Ghost, she thought. But somehow, she was not really afraid. Maybe it was because what she had seen was not terrifying at all. She thought that on the woman's face there was even a sign of love. Arol said, 'Is there anything I can do to help you? Can we make friends? And she managed to put a smile on her face.
Delight and unbelieve shone on the faces. Arol noticed that white figures started to spout from the surrounding ground and finally Arol thought she was admist a white cloud.
There were hundreds of them. Most of them were young men. There were also old women and old men. Some of them were crying. There was only a young women and two children, which were the original white figures. 'Why are there so many?' exclaimed Arol.
