On to the fight. Fuego is walking after me. Bongae is getting a bit pissy. Fuego, and Bongae get in each others faces. I'm just watching, and moving out of range of potential conflict. Potential? Upcoming conflict range that is. Black man walks in, looks around, and heads for me. By the way, have I mentioned that this is all taking place on Gervis St.? *smirk*
So the black man, names Tarnell, walks up to me, and slaps my ass saying Damn! That's some hot booty. I just arched an eyebrow at him, mostly because I know what's coming. Both Bongae, and Fuego turn on Tarnell. Fuego says Get your hands of my woman. Bongae doesn't bother speaking, he just draws his guns. Personally I'm wondering when exactly I became Fuego's woman. And the fight is on. Fuego's pounding on Tarnell with his fists, and Bongae is firing away. I think. There's no sound. Well Tarnell _tries_ to summon up some shadow friends. Turns out they didn't like him too well, and attacked him. *smirk* I see this chick walk in. Now she's watching the fight too. Fuego beats Tarnell into the ground. Tarnell's down for the count. I'm still watching this chick. She narrows her eyes, and concentrates real hard on Fuego. He bursts into flames. Fuego, to put it mildly, frenzies. The chick sees this and runs off. Fuego turns on Bongae about 4 seconds later Bongae is dead. I lost my bodyguard. Damn. The shadows about Tarnell help him up, and away. I hear sirens, and I follow Fuego.
I haven't figured out exactly why I'm following Fuego yet. But I do. I catch up to him. Fuego turns and wants to know why I'm following him. So I write something down, and give him the slip of paper. What I basically 'told' him was....Congratulations. You killed my old body guard. That makes you my new body guard. Fuego looks at me odd like and mentions that He'll think about it. He then wants to know who the fuck I am and what clan I am. I 'ask' him who he is. He said I asked first. Then he goes on to say his name is Fuego, and he is Brujah. So I write Serena. Then I pull off my prized jacket. The one Kernel gave me. Kernel called it the company jacket, said I should have one. I never take this jacket off. Never. Anyway on the back of the company jacket is an anarch symbol. Yep I pull off the jacket, and turn it upside down, showing Fuego the Brujah symbol. As I'm putting my jacket back on. My cell phone rings. I sometimes wonder why I still carry it around. And then I remember. I like handing it to random strangers around me to answer. Makes for an interesting night. *smirk* Yep you guessed it. I give the cell phone to Fuego to answer. He just gives me a weird look but he does answer the phone.
I have no clue who actualy called me. Except that it was female. Fuego sorta went off on the caller. All I was about figgure out was that it was female. Actualy it was rather amuseing. Highly amuseing. Watching Fuego bitch out the person at the other end of my phone. I realy was wondering who it was, and why they called me. Must not have known that I was mute. Odd I thought that by now that was a known fact about me. Oh well. Fuego hangs up and hands the phone back to me, saying I don't know what she wanted. So I *69, and give the person a call back. It's Denali. I forgot I can't speak, so I press a few buttons *hoping* that she gets the picture that It's me on the other end. Apparently she does, as she tells me to gather as many cammies as I can, because there is a meeting in about 2 hours on top of the empire state building. So I press a few more buttons to let her know that I understood the message. She hangs up. I write a note to Fuego saying we've got a meeting to attend. Fuego declines the honor of attending. I shrug, and wander away. As I'm going to the meeting, I run into Lia. She gives me a lift to the meeting.
We get to the meeting. Verlaine, and another girl are already there. I think Lia and Verlaine had this thing going. Since they arranged to go out after the meeting. Henry is here too, and his dog. I play with Henry's dog until the meeting starts. Henry says Hello Serena. I pat his shoulder to let him know that I heard him. Denali shows up. Denali wants to know if this is everybody. I write her a note. Told Denali that I found another family member today. Also that he's an ass like the rest of us. Verlaine has started telling everybody that he intends to claim being Prince. And that he has a grand plan for takeing back NYC. Denali reads the note, she looks at me, and bursts out laughing. I just give an innocent bland look back. Verlain looks all pissy about that and demands to know what I had written. Denali doesn't enlighten him. Verlain wants to use mortals. He wants to bond them to us, and use them to slowly take back NYC. So I use Lia as my voice, and start pointing out all the flaws in his plan. Which sort of went like this. 1)Not enough time. Something needs to be done NOW. 2)It's the sabbat. Like they are going to care about mortals. Send mortals out to arrest a sabbat member, and that member is going to rip apart any mortal. Or raid a haven? I personally don't expect any mortals to come back. Lia agrees with me. Guess who shows up now. Poly. He and Verlaine take an active dislike to each other. And I really am starting to devlop an active dislike for Verlaine.
Personally I think Verlaine was ignoring my suggestions because I was both young, and Brujah. That really annoyed me. So Verlaine tells Poly what his plans are. Poly points out the exact same things that I did. Verlaine says Oh and I suppose you think violence is the way to do it. Typical Brujah thinking. Everybody just sort of cringed, and backed away slightly. I thought Poly was going to throw Verlaine off the top of the roof. That would have been interesting. So Verlaine, and Poly get into an arguing match. I realize that I have to talk to Poly, tell him about earlier. Verlaine abruptly ends the argument, and looks over at Lia asking if their night was still on. Lia said yes. That starts an argument between Lia and Poly. I write my note, and walk over to Poly. I give it to him, and walk away, letting him read it in his own time. So I'm back over by Henry, and his dog. I really liked that dog. So Henry is talking to me, and I'm spoiling his dog rotten. Every once in a while I pat Henry's shoulder, or hand to let him know that I'm still there, and still listening. Poly reads the note, and throws his hands up in the air saying Why me!? What you want to know what I wrote? *smirk*
Verlaine, and Lia leave. Poly tells Denali, and me that were leaving. Poly also grabs my arm and drags me over to the elevator. I wave uselessly at Henry as he is blind. And we all end up back at Poly's. Poly points me to a certain chair, and says sit. So I do my usual thing, and fling myself at the chair in an attempt to sit. Poly then hands me a keyboard telling me to type. So I do. I tell him that I sorta got into trouble, and that I found another Brujah. I swear Poly twitched. Denali is just grinning. So I tell Poly about the hiring of a bodyguard. The contract, an what Bongae said after I signed the contract. Poly said you hired a fucking Assamite!? Why did you do that, the family is the only bodyguard you need! Informed Poly that that was a moot point, at this moment in time, as Bongae is dead. Poly screeched You paid money for an Assamite, and he died!?! I blinked at Poly. And I'm still wondering why he was so upset about it all. So I typed Who said anything about money? Poly said that Bongae was trying to get into your pants. I typed in As if. Poly murmured Good girl. I just grinned at him and went on. I told him about the meeting of Fuego, about Tarnell. Poly wonders if I'm a Lasombra magnet, as that's the 3rd one that I've run into. I tell him about the fight. Tarnell's beating, and Bongae's death. Poly just looks at me with the I-just-got-wacked-in-the-face-with-a-2x4 expression. I tell him that I followed Fuego and about the conversation after that. Poly sighs and wonders what he's going to do with me. I shrugged. Poly then tells me that I'm going to move in with him. Um OK. Denali mentions casually that Poly's only doing that because he wants to get into your pants. I typed in As if. Denali grinned saying Good girl. I just looked all innocent, and Poly just shut up and looked slightly embarrassed.
