The Darkness

The Darkness exists everywhere, each night I help her fight it 
Each night we beat some of it back, but we never really win 
The Darkness exists inside me, each night I must fight it 
I must keep it from consuming me 
One night I give in to my passion, I let my love for her consume me 
In that one moment of happiness, we have let the Darkness win 
The monster I have become tries to destroy her,
The one person who has shown me true love 
When my soul returns to me, and I return to her,
The sorrow in her eyes does not prepare me for what is to come 
When I finally come back to her, she must destroy me 
But love helps me to return from the torture and the pain, Love is Forever. 
Now I know I will never win my fight, to keep the Darkness back I must leave her 
I must leave her even though that will destroy me 
It’s better this way.....
