More notes on WWII Epic

Becasue the highest armour you can have in Epic is 6+ there is a problem with representing the strength of Late War tanks as opposed to early war tanks. To combat this I've decided to split the war up into a number of time periods with each tank getting a different rating in each period.

Firepower values (as well as ranges) will be split up into a HE & AP value. Targets will be classified as either hard or soft. Shots against the incorrect target type will get 1 (or maybe even 2 points) deducted from the roll as well as having the fire moved one column to the right. So vehicles with an armour of 6+ would be unaffected by HE fire.

Still can't think of a good off table artillery system.

2 or 3 new abbilites will be neede, Amphibious is an obvious one as well as soft-skinned (soft-skinned vehicles are affected equally well by HE as well as AP fire) and open topped. Open topped vehicles are vunerable to HE artillery).
