More food for me

I am getting bored of the food. So far I ate the following food (the best on the left, the worst on the right).

      1. Burgers : In-N-Out, Arby's, Burger King, McD
      2. Sandwiches : Togo, Subway
      3. Rice : Indian Curry Lamb Rice, Fried Rice with chicken, Rice with beef teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki rice.
      4. Microwave/Instant Food : Fried Chicken, Salisbury Steak, Fried Rice, Maggi Mee, Rice with pepper beef.
      5. Misc : Haagen Daaz Coffee, Chocolate, Pizza, Corn, and a few others.

So, I started to cook to experiment with the right combination of ease and taste. So far, no full fledge cooking. Just some simple things to test out with minimum fuss. The reason being, I cannot go out and buy tons of spices and sauce and rice cause it will be a waste. What am I going to do with few KG of rice, spice and food when I going home?

As you can see from my shopping, everything is simple. Taste good? Dunno:P

Shopping.........US14.76. Let's see. Some butter with peanut butter for the bread I bought. Some instant food to last some time. Red Beans and corn to add to my other meals. Ice cream- Yumm.. And roughly 800grams of salt(US0.39). Cannot find smaller quantity.

More shopping. you can see the bread, cooking oil, some eggs, some meatballs and 3 instant food. All these were bought roughly 2 weeks ago. The meatballs are finishing, the bread no more while the instant food consumed. Luncheon meat also finished. Bought replacement today.

Resupply today. Some beef (already used part of it), marinating powder, peaches, laici, chicken and mushroom soup, instant food plue more luncheon meat. Total cost? US13.74.

My dinner today. Preparing the steak after 3 hours of marinating. Just put the powder, some oil, salt and pepper, wait and presto.

My meal. Small serving of steak. I did not do my maths properly. Didn't know the steak shrinks. Heheh, well still filling since I added toasted bread. The steak was kinda salty, guess too much salt. A cup of apple juice to round it up.

On other days, I prepare fried rice with egg and some meat balls. More apple juice.

This is how microwave food looks like. I was surprised that it tasted so good. Seen here is Salisbury steak with some potatoes, veggy and apple dessert.

Instant food by themself can be quite bland. So occasionally, I add fried egg, or red bean or some meatballs just to add more taste and flavour to it.

More fried rice. This one is with some black pepper beef, but apparently, they was too much sauce so its all red. Added in a fried rice.

Some of my stocks. 6 packs of maggi mee left from Malaysia. While the drinks are taken from office;P

[ next ]

This is the pack of instant fried rice before it is cooked. Some rice, with stuff inside, some oil. Just add water and pop it in the micro. Wait 4 mins and its done. Convinient eh? Miracle of technology.

Well, when I am buzy, I just go downstairs, pop some coins and get some food from the vending machine. This pizza cost me US2.00. Not very worth your money, but hey, not all food are easily accessible. It was cold and dark outside.
