Recipe : Barbecued Beeblebrox

Contributed by Mathew Zebrowski

Prior to preparation of corpse, heat up large metal coffin with charcoal until it's about the same temperature as the surface of Vega at lowest point of its cycle.

Remove extra head and split open. Liquify brain with egg whisk and use as garnish, mixed with some white mouse droppings and some finely ground petunia leaves. Remove Babel fish from ears of both heads, split open laterally and scoop out, throw away insides. Use skins as eating implements, after keeping over glowing coals for 30 seconds (don't worry, they'll be quite tough after being heated). Sprinkle body with wine, unless he's drunk, in which case drain some blood out through hole left by extra head (you want to keep some blood so that he's nicely steamed while being heated). Open torso and remove any bionic implants, as they tend to make the surrounding parts become overcooked.

When ready, place corpse on coals and close lid for 60 seconds. Open and turn corpse over, garnishing uncovered side. Keep coffin closed for another 60 seconds, then turn over, repeating instructions. Continue using garnish until it is gone and keep turning over corpse until meat is tender.

Beeblebrox serves twenty, preferably eaten at a garden party. Just be sure not to invite any Vogons, as guests will be nauseous enough knowing that they'll be eating a two-headed man garnished with one of his brains to listen to some of their poetry.
