I have not updated this website in more than three years, not since October of 2003. That's a long time. The reason is because I have almost completely stopped writing short fiction, and therefore I had nothing to update the site with. I had an update lined up sometime in 2004 but never got around to uploading it. And for the past two years, I have worked almost exclusively on novel-length material. Of course, having a regular day job and being frustrated from not getting published has reduced my writing output anyway. But here I am, updating this site again after a very long absence.

If you've ever been to this site before (which I doubt), You'll notice I changed the colors and removed most of the graphics. That silly goth look really doesn't suit me anymore. I also revamped the layout of the fiction menus and deleted the "artwork" section of the site, because it was kind of embarrassing.

I also removed some of the older stories on the site. "Why?" you may ask. Well, because a lot of my older stuff (and probably a fair amount of my newer stuff) really kind of sucks. There's no sense in keeping stories on here that I don't even like. I also added a story or two that I had lying around.

As of April, I have also added some novels, by far the longest works I have ever put on this site.

So anyway, I welcome you to the newly updated and revamped The Lower Darkness. Have a look around, browse the stories, and send me an email message if you're so inclined. I'm not desperate for fan mail or anything like that, but it would be nice to know if anyone reads these damn stories I've spent twelve years writing.
