Do you know everything there is to know about Quo'Diakia and Quo'Diak Day? If not, join us as we discuss the history and proceedings of this unusual celebration.
Why celebrate Quo'Diak Day?The Quo'Diak MSH-47 is a high quality, user-friendly phase transition coil built by the QuanRes Industries Corporation's Transporter Division. Primary engineering was overseen by Zee-Magnees laureate Lawrence Christopher Scott, descendant of the legendary Montgomery Scott of the original Starship Enterprise.
For those in our audience who do not work regularly with transporter pads, the phase transition coil is the component which performs the actual molecular disassembling of the transporting subject. No Quo'Diak has ever failed in its duty, so you may put your mind at ease.
If you have ever wondered why we chose the rather unusual name of "Quo'Diak," you can stop racking your brains now. "Quo'Diak" is an ancient Vulcan phrase meaning, "Move safely." Our MSH-47 will ensure that you can always do so. The plural form of "Quo'Diak" is "Quo'Diakia," a tip of the hat to the ancient Earth language called Latin.
What makes a Quo'Diak PT coil so special?A little less than a year ago, on March 30, 2372, our marketing guys here at QuanRes Industries presented our newest PT coil to the public amid the usual storm of glitzy special effects. While onlookers watched the demonstrations entranced, we sat in a private room receiving real-time reviews of the MSH-47. As we had expected, they were full of praise and applause for our effort, a wonderful reward for our years of hard work at research and development. The next day, however, we began receiving messages of a different kind. Thankfully, they were still positive; indeed, they were overflowing with exclamations of appreciation, gratitude, and even affection. We suddenly realized that our exceptional little PT coil had gained a true following overnight. As the months passed, we watched as the exaltations poured in at an ever increasing rate. Finally, the big heads at QuanRes approved a public petition for an official holiday celebrating the arrival of the Quo'Diak. And, now, here we are.
Where can I get a Quo'Diak? If you have a Quo'Diak installed in your transporter, you already know what makes it so distinctive and unique. Aside from the apparent (and accidental) adorability of its design, there is the unparalleled reliability which has been the QuanRes trademark for over thirty-three years. Then, of course, there is the comprehensive diagnostic software which comes bundled with every Quo'Diak, allowing any well-trained technician to find out what ails his MSH-47. And, finally, Quo'Diak's low price and unmatched performance specifications, such as its quick speed, efficiency, high load acceptance, and marked fidelity, make it the most appealing coil in the market today. If you haven't already tried a Quo'Diak in your transporter system, we advise you to test one today and see the difference yourself.
How do I celebrate Quo'Diak Day?To contact your nearest QuanRes Transporter Division dealer, direct your computer to Sector 16309 in GeoPlanets' Corporate Quadrant. We're sorry that we can't link you there ourselves, but Federation law unfortunately prohibits us from doing so.
Anyone can show their appreciation in their own personal way, but you can also join us for our company-sponsored celebration here at our Beta Pegasi IV Orbital Central Offices. On March 30, we will kick everything off at 1030 hours SAQT (Standard Alpha Quadrant Time, for those of you not from around these parts) with a plasma fireworks display in our artificially created T'Liraq Nebula. This incredible twenty-minute program was designed by Solerr, the famed Vulcan plasma artist, and features spectacular new ionization effects. After this scintillating (quite literally!) experience, we will hold a luncheon comprising delicacies from all over the quadrant, brought by merchants whose vessels proudly wear the distinction of being a Quo'Diak customer. During this time, tours of our facilities will open and remain so until midnight. At 1400 hours, we will invite the public to visit our History of the Quo'Diak Pavilion, where we will showcase the research and development process which ultimately led to our famous product. Finally, from 1700 hours to midnight, we will unveil our plans for the next generation Quo'Diak (or at least the declassified parts) and also have demonstrations of the quadrant's largest transporter platform, which draws power from the Beta Pegasi star itself. How's that for a full day?
