This warship class was shared with the Romulan Star Empire by the Klingons during a brief alliance between the two in the late 2260s. Aside from the addition of the improved Romulan cloaking device, which was the target of a staged Starfleet operation involving the Enterprise, it is not known what changes were made in the transition between peoples. However, it is safe to guess that the Romulan versions were slightly more comfortable than the Klingons'.
