I'm a full time mom, so everything else I do is part time, including artwork. I've recently started painting after years of graphite and colored pencil work. It's been a great adventure. When my children are older, I'm hoping to do much more. This year I focussed color within darkness.
It's been my hope that there will be a resurgence of amateur pursuit of music, art, and crafts. I think it's a terrible loss to both individuals and society that specialization and mass performance are idealized and that amateur efforts are minimized or ridiculed.
