Hungry Embrace Captured

To be captivated by such beauty,

I within her hungry embrace am captured;

I hear her soul scream,

I feel her thoughts entrapped;

Outside is the night,

Dark and esoteric as the void;

Inside is confusion,

A labyrinth of emotion;

She fades to black,

A dream enclosed in a fist;

Silent hopeless screams,

The rift in her soul grows;

But I, within her,

Fight to keep love alive;

Within her hungry embrace I am captured,

As her light turns to darkness.

The cold of dark days ahead,

A hearth covered in ice;

Behold the chill of autumn doom,

As I do at the end of her summer.

A sadness congeals within her heart,

As morning dew upon a window sill;

Each day fading into the other,

Tearing her heart asunder;

A hungry abyss reaches for her soul,

within the hopelessness of her despair;

Taking all that she holds dear,

A torn heart pushed beyond repair.
