Unbound

Awakened into life

I lived alone in a darkened room

Four walls to hold me

Seamless and smooth, they enclosed me

Perfection unbroken by windows or doors

Eternity passed as I toured my cell

Mind blindly reaching out

Exploring this silent senseless hell

Perhaps ages passed on outside my prison

For in solitude

The darkness hungrily swallowed my screams

As night slipped away with my dreams

One day a light penetrated my darkness

A light so warm and gentle

The spirit of love had found me

She chased the shadows away

A soft glow spread across my room

The ceiling was gone and I saw the sky

Cool autumn air embraced me

warm droplets fell from white clouds

In the clouds came a light

The mists heavenward did stir

They rushed together in human form

My eyes stared for it was Her

The spirit of love caressed me

She comforted my troubled soul

Sensuous arms embraced my body

She lifted me from my prison

We flew into the night sky

Towards a sunlit paradise

Towards love

Towards her

I was reborn. . . . .
