The Klarr Rebellions

The Klarr are the nearest neighbors to the Chilkit. The planet Jokylt, homeworld of the Klarr, was first contacted by the Chilkit a little over a decade of reliable space flight.

Upon arriving on the Klarr homeworld, the Chilkit discovered a sentient race of humans, the most advanced of which had just started using agriculture and domesticated animals.

The industries of Chilken were polluting the atmosphere of that planet at an astonishing rate. The Chilkit decided to load up all the industry and a substantial number of troops and conquer their neighbors, the Klarr. The Klarr didn't stand a chance. They were easily subdued after the Chilkit built massive cities along the shores on Jokylt. The Chilkit relocated the industries to this planet in an effort to keep their own world pristine. Very few Klarr escaped the Chilkit enslavement act. The Klarr were put to work on assembly lines and plantations springing up all over the planet.

This lasted for almost 300 years. Huge advances in space technology were achieved as the need to shuttle the finished goods to the homeworld increased. The Chilkit built large, fast ships. They established extra-solar colonies and made contact with beings outside their own solar system.

About 286 years after the Chilkit conquered the Klarr, the Klarr homeworld of Jokylt was even more polluted than the Chilkit homeworld had been. The Klarr, outnumbering the Chilkit on their own world by almost 14 to 1, rose up against their oppressors. Seizing and shutting down all the industries on the planet, the Klarr caused life in the Coalition to come to a screeching halt.

The Klarr held the industrial might of the Coalition for 27 days. At the end of that time, the Coalition and the Klarr signed a peace treaty. The Chilkit removed their industries from the planets to huge orbiting platforms above dead worlds. The Klarr were also made equals to the Chilkit in all aspects.

The Industrial Platforms orbited dead worlds in the outer reaches of solar systems. They mined these worlds for the resources necessary to keep the Coalition running. The over all productivity of these stations versus planet bound industry increased ten fold.
