The Quantum Storms

The quantum realities of the Fab'Rini Federation shifted dramatically after the Fab'Rini Federation finally settled into some semblence of order and normality.

The quantum indexes, responsible for allowing dragons and wizards and scientists and warp drives exist simultaneously, shifted after the implosion of the star Champster. The shock waves from Champster sent another star reeling, Yusert, which eventually went nova. The unusual shock waves of these combined disturbances altered the surrounding reality so much that a quantum wall formed, encasing the two systems and the star Lysia.

The people trapped within these systems were not heard from for three weeks. All attempts to send manned and unmanned missions beyond the wall to re-establish contact failed. Those who went in never came out. Three weeks after the formation of the q-wall, contact was made.

A strange signal was made via a Fab'Rini computer in a washing machine on a backworld settlement of Gideon. It was The Union of True Sentients, as they called themselves. This fanatical isolationist group proclaimed itself enlightened, and "threw off the shackles of Omnet oppression." They executed a team of Omnet representatives in cold blood as a demonstration to the Greater Galaxy of their "superiority."

A few weeks later, after a proposed formation of an Interstellar Rapid Response Unit, the Union of True Sentients execued another large number of Omnet representatives. The IRRU had lost almost all support, and the UTS ran rampant.
