Here Is My Secret

You are the most persistent person I know. I'll tell you my secret, I'm in love. I don't actually know what it means to be in love. And I don't say it to her because I want her and I to be able to enjoy our relationship without putting in complex words and concepts like love. I want things to be simple and honest. I want them to be happy and healthy. So I don't like the phrase "I love you."

...but I do. In my own simple way and in what I think in my mind it means to be in love...I am!

Victoria, you have caught me, mind, body, and soul. I want to give you all that there is to give. And I know you aren't impressed by things I can give you. I want to take the moon and stars from the sky and lay them at your feet. And I know you'd say that they are better off being left in the sky for all to see. I want to sweep you off your feet, lift you high on a pedestal, and adore you. And I know you'd rather just stand next to me and enjoy everything that happens.

I am not perfect and I can't promise you much. But one thing I can and have promised you is honesty. I will always be honest to you about how I feel, what I want, and what I think. I won't intentionally hurt you and when life does hurt, I'll be there to feel that hurt with you. When I make mistakes (and know that I will), I'll own up to them and learn from them to become a better person.

I heart you, Victoria. I heart you more than I know how to express. You've shown me that love and life are filled with exciting things and that it really is possible to find someone special.

So, to steal lyrics from a song...What ever tomorrow brings, I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.

And yes, if you understand what I mean by this, I do love you.
