Plot a course for the Badlands...
Yes sir. Course plotted in..
Just as you are about to give the engage command, there is a hail beep and Captain Sisko's voice fills the bridge.
Commander, I am having Elim Garak, the station's resident Cardassian beamed aboard. He will assist you on your current mission.
Garak is aboard, sir.
Hennessey: Very good, Chief. Engage at warp 8.
You hear the door slide open and as you turn, you see a suspicious Cardassian male step into the bridge.
Greetings, Commander. My name is Garak. I am the station's tailor, storyteller, and resident spy. I hope that you will find my services useful.
Hennessey: You can take the science station, Mr. Garak.
Thank you, Commander. But, it is Garak. Plain and simple Garak.
Kira: Any leads, Garak?
And old informant of mine was able to tell me that she knew of a small number of Cardassian and Maquis bases hidden inside of the Badlands and the old DMZ.
Which would now be under Dominion control.
I was able to rule out a number of the bases because the Dominion was nice enough to destroy them in their obliteration of the Maquis. I have narrowed it down to two possible sites, each in the heart of the Badlands.
I hope you're up for this, Nog. The Badlands are a tough place to manuever, even for a ship like the Defiant.
I'm ready, Major.
The first location is Orkirin sector. Starfleet intelligence has observed several Jem'Hadar and Cardassian ships in that sector within the past month.
The second possible location is the N'tara sector. Starfleet has no valid sensor information on this location, as it is in one of the most violent known plasma fields.
Hennessey: Thank you Garak.
Commander, may I suggest that we cloak now? We will be approaching the badlands in thrity minutes.
Hennessey: Make it so, Mr. O'Brien. Ensign...
Take us into the Orkirin sector.
Take us into the N'tara sector.
