You walk into main engineering...
In the center of the room is the heart of the Defiant, her warp core. Standing next to it, working away is Chief O'Brien and across the room is the message bouy.
Hennessey: Chief, how is the probe coming along?
Well, Commander, I can definitely tell you that it is from the Freedom and the message is authentic. There are no traces of tampering with the bouy. It was, however, slightly damaged by polaron bursts. I'm having trouble figuring out it's flight path.
Hennessey: What seems to be the problem?
The subspace assembly is fine and is functioning properly, but the isolinear data storage crystals have been fractured in a number of places.
There is another communicator chirp as Major Kira signals you.
Commander, we just picked up a very faint subspace distortion about two lightyears from our position. We haven't been able to pinpoint the source or any other information yet.
Hennessey: Keep scanning that area, Major. Keep me posted.
Yes, Commander.
Here we go, Commander. I just got something. It looks like two sets of coordinates. I can't be sure which one is the launch point, but one of them definitely is. The first is in the M'pai sector and the second is in R'quel.
Hennessey: Is that all you got?
There is much more here, but I still can't seem to get to any of it.
Hennessey: Bridge, this is Hennessey:
Plot course for the M'pai sector.
Plot a course for the R'quel system.
