Last Update: 8.1.01
8.1.01 -I know its been ages since Utopia has been updated... Sorry guys... school, work, and life in general have been keeping me pretty busy lately. There haven't been many incredible changes to the Trek world until recently either. In any case, I've made a few slight changes today, hopefully the first of many new improvements on the way. The opening index page has been redone with a nice little flash banner among other minor updates. I would also like to announce the opening of a new section of Utopia called metaMORPHosis. Basically, it is a digital editing service that I offer where
you can have yourself transformed into various aliens, animals, and other
creatures. Check it out, if for no other reason than to see some really old
pictures of me turned into Klingons, Borg, and Jem'Hadar! Stay tuned for more updates in the hopefully near future!
1.22.00 -The Captain.net's Star Trek Day 2000 banners have been removed from the site for now, until I can find out why their page keeps going offline. I have replaced them with banners for the Defiant Simulator missions. I also went through the Defiant missions and updated some of the information and links throughout, especially on a few of the beginning pages.
1.18.00 -Today I uploaded some minor modifications to the Romulan Interface. I have also noticed that the Star Trek Day page tends to be down quite a bit, so I am planning on removing those banners from the page until I find out more information on the site. I have also added links on the main index page and links page to Alladvantage.com. If you've never heard of the service, the company pays you to allow them to track your web surfing. Your privacy is guaranteed and the pay is $0.50/hr plus additional pay from referrals. By signing up you can not only make a little extra cash yourself, but also help to support Star Trek: Utopia . See the index or link page for more details or click on this link:

Thank you for supporting Star Trek Utopia.
1.17.00 -The new Romulan Interface has been added to the Frames section of the site. I'm not real happy with the way the feature page turned out, so I will probably try and work on that within the next few days. Please let me know if you find any broken links or missing image files and I will get them fixed as soon as I can. Thanks.
12.14.99 -Not much of an update, but if anyone has seen the new book "The Incredible Internet Guide For Trekkers" you may have seen Star Trek: Utopia. The site is listed under the Original Artwork and Animations categories, as well as in the general list in the back section of the book where it is described as one of the most visually interesting sites on the internet. If you would like more info on the book, visit Utopia's link page for the site banner and link.
11.30.99 -The new Dominion War picture is finally finished and up. This is the one of what might have happened if the Founder hadn't called off the Dominion forces orbiting Cardassia. The picture looks a little chaotic and cluttered, but I guess thats probably what it would have ended up looking like anyway. The new pic can be accessed from the Starship page or from the Original Artwork page.
11.10.99 -I have redesigned the main index page to allow you to now choose between the frame and no-frame interface designs. The frame index has all the selections as the non-frame index, but the Ferengi, Romulan, and Federation Interface designs are not online yet. A note to netscape users: For some reason, Netscape will not show the pop-up text on the image maps used in the frame interfaces. So in order to know where the link takes you, you have to watch the status bar at the bottom of the screen. For IE users, simply hold the cursor over a button and text will appear to identify the link.
11.6.99 -Today I have uploaded the latest interface design, based on Cardassian computer systems from DS9. This one is a little bit tougher to use, but I really like the look of it. If you are having trouble navigating, simply move your cursor over a hotspot and text will appear to tell you what the button is for. I'm still looking for more pics and suggestions if anyone would like to pass them along.
11.4.99 -Last night I uploaded the third new interface design, this one based on Klingon designs. Cardassian, Romulan, Federation, and Ferengi are all planned for the future, but if you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. I was tossing around a few other ideas including a Movie-Era design, TOS, Trill, Krenim, and a few others. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. And if you have any good scans or screenshots of control panels for any of the mentioned designs, they would be appriciated too. The Klingon Interface can be accessed through the main index page.
10.26.99 -As promised the second in the new series of interface designs is now online. This one is a Dominion design, again using frames and image maps. The maps are a little bit tougher to use on this one, I think, but if you move your cursor over top of a button, it will tell you what section the linkis to. The Dominion Inferface can be accessed through the main index page. Check it out and let me know what you think.
10.24.99 -Today I've added links on the main index, UniMatrix One, and link pages to www.captain.net's Star Trek Day 2000 site. This is a site supporting the celebration of the first day Star Trek aired on September 8, 1966. Take a look and sign the electronic petition in support of of Star Trek Day 9.8.00. A new webring, the Quantum Continuum has also been added to the main index and link pages.
10.22.99 -Just a few minor upgrades today. I have added a link to UniMatrix One on the main index page as well as updated the main UniMatrix One page. The older feature images (Kelley, Defiant, and DS9 Tributes) have been replaced by new ones which go along with the Borg theme.
10.20.99 -Unfortunately, the newest Dominion War picture is still not complete. I was getting a little bored with it, so I decided to begin working on a new interface design. This new interface is a brand new Borg design, based on controls from UniMatrix One and utilizes image maps and frames. I'm hoping to redo all of the designs in this manner, which simplifies site navigation and are a little bit easier to upgrade. Dont worry though, for those of you who don't like frames, I plan on leaving the older interface designs online. Follow the link below to check it out and please let me know what you think.
Borg UniMatrix One Interface Design
9.22.99 -I've done a slight update on the fan creation page, adding one more submitted design. I have also begun work on a new Dominion War picture. This is a hypothetical situation, in which the Female Shapeshifter did not order the Dominion to surrender and the Allied Fleet engaged the forces orbiting Cardassia. I'm looking for some good screen captures from "What You Leave Behind," especially of the Dominion fleet around Cardassia. Please pass them along or let me know if you see any good ones around.
9.14.99 -Today I did some cleaning up and a few minor updates. The Fan creation page was updated and moved onto the geocities server to allow easier editing. I added all of the artwork that I could find, but I'm sure that I've misplaced some of it over the months. If you submitted a starship design or piece of art and its not on the page, let me know and I'll get it up. I also went through and tried to fix the broken links in each index page's image map. Please let me know if you find anymore and I'll take care of them. I'm hoping to start on a new picture within the next week, but I haven't decided just what it will be yet. If you have any ideas, drop me a line.
9.8.99 -HAPPY STAR TREK DAY! 33 Years ago today, Star Trek premierd on NBC. I have finally completely the DeForest Kelley Tribute that I've been promising. You can access it through the main page. I removed the Jadzia Dax tribute banner from the index page, since it has been over a year and a half since her death, but the image can still be accessed through the crew section. Now that I'm settled back into school and have my T1 connection back, look for new Dominion War and possibly a new Trekwar pic or two in the coming month or so.
8.14.99 -Happy 2nd Birthday to Star Trek: Utopia!
7.6.99 -The new Dominion War pic is finally completed. Originally this was supposed to be the entire Dominion Fleet vs the entire Federation Allied Fleet, but the project became too large. I decided to only use the Breen from the Dominion and for some reason, I ended up only using the Starfleet and Romulan ships. I gave the Jem'Hadar, Cardassians, and Klingons a little break...but they will all be back for the next Dominion War pic, I promise. I'm still in need of good Deforest Kelley pics for a tribute as well, so please pass them along if you have any. They don't necessarily have to be Trek related. Thanks again.
6.22.99 -The Borgwars pic that I promised is finally posted on the Trek vs Wars page. My new Dominion War pic is also coming along pretty well and I think that everyone is going to really like this one. So far its only the Federation, Romulans, and the Breen. I haven't decided if I want to add the rest of the Dominion in yet, but I have some plans to put in at least a couple of Klingon ships. What will probably happen is that I will leave out the rest of the Dominion and then do a follow up pic with the Cardassians and Allied fleet vs the Breen/Dominion...there's just too much to try and get into one pic. I'm still collecting pics for the DeForest Kelley tribute, so if you have any nice ones that you'd be willing to send, I would appriciate it.
6.16.99 -Within the past two months, Star Trek has suffered some of its greatest losses. Beginning with the Defiant, then the ending of Deep Space Nine, and now the passing of our beloved Deforest "Bones" Kelley. The world of Star Trek will never again be the same. In any case, today I've finally added my Defiant Tribute image to the site. I'm not extremely happy with it and will probably end up doing another one, but I figured its about time I put this one up. You can access it through the main page. A new Borg vs Star Wars picture should be up within the next few days hopefully. I'm also hoping to do a new Dominion War pic with the Breen and a DeForest Kelley tribute is in the plans. I'll keep you posted.
6.11.99 -"Take me home, Jim." DeForest Kelley 1920-1999. We will miss you Bones.
4.5.99 -Happy First Contact Day (about 64 years early)!! Today I uploaded an entirely new Cast and Crew section onto the Geocities server. Not only are the pictures and info much better and up to date than the last crew section, but the majority of reoccurring characters have also been added to each of the series. You can reach the new crew sections through any of the interface designs.
4.1.99 -I recieved an awesome picture from Adam Rout a few days ago which is an accurate comparison chart of Star Trek and Star Wars starships. You can email Adam at: the_routs@mb.sympatico.ca The starship chart is now available on the Trek vs. Wars page. Thanks again, Adam!
3.22.99 -I really didn't want to get started into a new Defiant simulator mission just yet and I'm pretty tired out of the Fleet From Hell and Trekwar pics, but I did want to do another pic concerning the Dominion war. Now I know that there are a lot of people out there that have been wondering what the Enterprise-E has been doing during this whole conflict...well I had an idea. So my latest Dominion War pic is of the E-E being ambushed by a squadron of Jem'Hadar fighters. Don't worry, because you know she wins out in the end, but there will definitely be some scares left from this battle... Special thanks to Wolfpak359 (http://wolf359a.anet-stl.com/) for the use of the CGI Sovereign-Class starship (and for most of the other CGI ships throughout my art. You can view the new pic by going through the Original Artwork banner on the main index page or through the Starships section of the site.
3.2.99 -After receiving a number of emails concerning the artwork on the Defiant Simulator and the other art pages, I decided to create a page which shows you a little about how I make the images. There's a fairly simplified step by step set of directions to make one of the pics for the new Defiant mission. The page can be reached from the main index page or from the Center Seat main page. If you've got any other questions on artwork, just drop me a line...
2.6.99 -Today I decided to go through and update some of the older pages. I wasn't able to add any new pictures, but i did add quite a bit of new information. The Defiant, Voyager, Movies, and Starships pages have all been upgraded. Utopia has also been entered into the "Top Trek Sites" page. You can vote for Utopia by clicking on the link located at the top of the main index page. Your vote would be appriciated!
2.4.99 -The day you've all been waiting for is finally here. The Defiant Simulator Mission Three is now online and fully operational. Just a little warning: This one is pretty long and it's going to take some time to finish. But I think you'll enjoy it. There are a few surprises and twists here and there and I think that it's definitely more interesting than the last two. I did a test run last night and fixed all the errors, broken links, and missing pictures that I found, but there are probably more that I missed. So if you notice any while you're going throuh, please let me know. You can access the Center Seat Simulator through the main index page or through the Defiant page. Enjoy!
2.2.99 -Today I added a new section to the original art page. There are 3 new images up. Well, actually they're all kinda old, but I just never put them up before. They are misc. pictures which include a Defiant vs. Enterprise-E, Star Trek vs. Teletubbies (you guys will love this one), and a Lt. Commander Katie Holmes (aka Joey from Dawson's Creek). You can get to the new page from the Original Art menu page (which you can get to using the banner link below).
1.19.99 -I have had several complaints and comments on the fact that the Dominion War and Fleet From Hell pictures are "hidden" at the bottom of the Starship Classes page. And instead of creating a new page for them, I just made a few new links. On the main index page and all of the interface designs, there is now a new banner for Original Artwork. Clicking this will bring up at page that lets you choose from Dominion War/FFH pics or Star Trek vs Star Wars pics. The links take you to the appropriate page and place on that page. Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion regarding the pictures.
1.17.99 -Believe it or not, I'm actually running AHEAD of schedule. The two new Fleet From Hell pics are up on the Starship Class page. The first is just an updated battle pic with about 200 ships. The second is the old FFH pic with about 200 totally new starships, including about 150 Romulan and Klingon warships. Unless I get really crazy and feel like doing another Dominion war pic, these will probably be the last updates, as far as art goes, until the new Defiant mission is put up (which will hopefully happen in about 2 weeks). Not only do we get to see Dr. Bashir, but you get to leave the Defiant via the new launch bay and head over to an Akira-Class starship. And you won't be sitting in the Captain's chair all of this mission either. Believe me, it is WELL worth the wait on this one.
1.16.99 -Today I added a brand new Dominion war pic. I recently got Adobe Photoshop 5, so I thought I'd see what I could do. This one is of the Dominion attack on DS9 during "A Call to Arms." The third Center Seat Defiant mission is still under construction, but it's turning out to be much bigger and longer than I thought. Hopefully, it will be completed soon. There are also a couple of modified Fleet from Hell pics that are almost finished, including the combined Allied Fleet of Klingons, Romulans, and Federation ships. Those should be up within a week or so.
11.3.98 -Today I added a new Dominion War pic, sort of. It was actually a pic I was working on for the new Defiant mission, but it turned out so well that I decided to go ahead and put it up now in full screen size. I guess that kind of gives away the fact that you'll be up against the new Dominion Battlecruiser in the next mission...but that's all it gives away. You can find the pic along with the other Dominion war pics on the Starship page.
11.1.98 -The third Defiant Simulator mission is well underway. This one is pretty complex though, so it's going to take some time. With this one, if all goes well, you'll get to see Doctor Bashir, the Klingons, Romulans, and Jem'Hadar. Not only that, but you'll also get to leave the bridge for a while. Here are a few sample graphics that will get everyone worked up....
10.23.98 -The second picture in the Dominion War series has been completed (can you tell I enjoy this part?). The Romulans have a definite presence in this one. Unfortnately, the new Dominion battlcruiser is only seen once in the pic and it's nothing spectacular. I just couldn't fit everything I wanted into this one! But that's okay, because it means that there are still more on the way!
10.19.98 -As promised, the new Dominion War series has begun. The first graphic is complete. You can find it at the bottom of the Starship Classes page along with the Starship Charts and Fleet From Hell pictures. This one features the Federation, Klingons, Jem'Hadar, and Cardassians. I promise that the next will include the entire Allied fleet, though (can't forget the Romulans)! The Third Defiant mission is also under construction now. It's still in the very early stages, but it looks like this one is going to be really great!
10.9.98 -After 2 months of hard work and constant emails and requests....I have finally finished the Defiant simulator mission 2! This one isn't quite as long as the first, but it does have some great graphics as well as a guest appearance by everyone's favorite Cadassian ex-spy. I've checked out the links and pics real quickly, and I'm pretty sure they're all there. But if anyone finds any broken links or mission pics, please let me know! And PLEASE feel free to comment on the slightly new design of mission two (you'll see). If you like it, I'll continue that style on mission 3 and convert mission one. If not, I'll switch everything back to the plain simple old way. Enjoy the mission and good luck!!
New animations have also been added on the animations page and I have fixed a number of broken links throughout the site, including ones on the Starship pages and Defiant page. If you're interested, you may want to check out the new E-E vs. Defiant pic that I did. If there is enough response, I may do a new Starfleet Civil War section. To view the first pick, follow this link: Defiant vs E-E. A Dominion war pic page is also in the planning stages (along the lines of the "Fleet from Hell" pics).
Feel free to send along comments and suggestions!! Thanks again for visiting UTOPIA!!!
9.8.98 -HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY STAR TREK!!
9.8.98 -Well, I've finally done a minor update. I have fixed a few broken URLs and a few missing pics on some of the starship pages. I also added new pics to the "Best of Both Worlds" page in the Starship Classes section of Utopia. These pics were taken from "The Art of Star Trek" and are study models for the Constitution II or Excelsior-Classes. They were all seen in the graveyard scene in BOBW and also in the ship yards in Unification. More, larger, updates are on the way and in the works!
8.14.98 -HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY UTOPIA!
7.18.98 -Okay, the first of the original 3 Defiant simulations has be uploaded. It will be the one involving the wormhole and the Idran System. Use the links on either the main page (under the interface selections) or on the Defiant page to take the Center Seat. Please read the info and disclaimer page before moving on. To advance along on the mission, simply click on the command (blue link) that you believe is the correct choice. Remember, sometimes there can be more than one correct answer. I haven't gotten a chance to do a complete run through of the mission, so PLEASE let me know if you find a broken link or a missing image file. I'm working on the second and third missions, which I hope to be a little more complex, but it might be a while before either of those are finished. Have fun, and try and bring her back in one piece...
7.14.98 -I've been working on a new addition to the Defiant page for the past few days. I am so excited about it that I felt like giving everyone a sneek peek at it. The premise is basically that you are temporarily taking over for Worf as strategic ops officer. Sisko then orders you to take the Defiant on a number of missions. You'll be able to choose the commands given, which will effect the outcome of the game. You crew will be Major Kira, Chief O'Brien, Odo, Nog, and yourself, Commander Hennessey. There will be three different missions, each with at least 3 different endings and dozens of pages in between. The first mission is almost complete and should be up within the week. The coolest part is that I've done dozens of new graphics to go along with the story and put it in first person perspective. Here are a few examples of the images:
Those are only a few of the dozens of original pictures which have been made. If you'd like to know what's going on in that last picture, make sure you come back when the mission is up!
7.12.98 -Today I added a new feature to the Defiant page. It's nothing too fancy, but I just thought that it would be nice to have something new for a change. Use any of the interface designs to link to the defiant page to see the new Security Access page. I also did a small update on the links and awards pages. If there are any of either that I am missing, please let me know.
7.9.98 -Did everyone think that I fell through a temporal vortex? Sorry...it's been a busy summer so far! Something tells me I'm not going to get quite as much done as I was originally planning. Oh, well, I'll do mey best. The interfaces are all up and running, but there are still a few broken links here and there that need to be fixed. I'm in the process of transfering most of my files to the Geocities server (now that they offer 11MB), so I'm going to wait until everything is here to finalize those map files. As for what's actually new: I have finally set up an awards page for my site. The problem is, I have only been able to find 2 of the awards that I have recieved! You can access the awards page through the main index page. I have also added two, yes TWO new Trek Vs. Wars pictures (now you know why I have no time to update the rest of the site!), with one or two more on their way. I also am planning another Dominion war picture similar to the Fleet From Hell pictures (on the Starship Classes page), but featuring Dominion/Cardassian ships. Which brings to mind... I recieved an Instant Message a few days ago from an anonymous member of the DS9 Graphic Design team who said that the pictures had been circulating around the office and that they were all "amazed and horrified" by the Fleet From Hell pics and also appriciated the tribute to Terry/Jadzia. Now I'm just waiting for the DS9 Tech Manual (due out in Aug/Sept) to finalize the information on the DS9, Defiant, and Alien pages. Until then, I'll continue small updates and additions when I get the time.
6.18.98 -Well, I'm finally free from all the frustration over graduation and have returned from vacation. I haven't had a chance to do much to the site lately, but I did construct a little tribute to our favorite Trill host and my favorite Star Trek character of all time. You can access the Tribute picture through the main index page. We'll miss you Jadzia, you've been loved. May the prophets guide you on your journeys.
Jadzia Dax: 2341-2374
5.11.98 -Lately, I have just been trying to fix small errors, repair broken links and update information. The Sydney-Class page is finally up. Actually, it had been up for quite some time, but I forgot to change the link to the correct page. Thanks to everyone who wrote in with corrections and comments. Please keep them coming!
4.29.98 -Today I added my own CONJUNCTURAL USS Defiant blueprints to the Defiant page. They are my own interpretations based on actual set blueprints, the Defiant deck chart, Captain's Chair, and DS9 episodes. The Fan Creation page has finally undergone a major revision, although it is not offical open yet. The page has been moved and all of the image maps on the various interface designs must be changed. The address for the page is www.geocities.com/Area51/Chamber/3141/creation.html, if you just can't wait for the next upgrade. There are few very nice ship designs there. If you would like to submit yours, just drop me an email.
4.10.98 -The Ferengi and Dominion Interface designs are now online! They are excellent quality and the Dominion Interface has even replaced the Borg design as my favorite. I am currently developing a Bajoran Interface, with LCARS, TOS, Vulcan, and Defiant designs in the planning stages. I would love to here ideas for new designs and comments on the current ones. If anyone finds a missing like, or a MAP that doesn't work properly. I am also looking for new pictures to help with the Trek vs Wars page. Specifically, I am looking for a high quality, full screen shot of the Equatorial Trench of the Death Star and AFT views of the Species 8472 bioships. Please let me know if you have any, or have seen any pics like these around. Thanks.
4.1.98 -The Thumbnails are finally done!!! Tonight, I finished off the TNG and TOS pages, so now everything should be thumbnailed. If you find anything that isn't, please let me know (or if you find any broken links). I also added a small new section at the bottom of the Starship Classes page for Misc. Ship pics. The first one there is my own little "Fleet From HELL" modification on another pic that I did. The original does not have the massive firefight, but has over 260 ships on it. That should be completed and put up within a week or two. Until then, enjoy this modification; I think you'll like it. I also finally added the pic of the Excelsior-modification from "Sacrifice of Angels" to it's page under Starship Classes (it's been a broken link for a while now). Now that Geocities has kindly doubled my MB allowance, watch for some new changes. I plan on moving everything that is under the members.aol.com directory over to this site for faster access.
3.23.98 -Today I added the new mailing list for anyone that would like to be automatically notified of updates to Utopia. This was done at the request of several regular visitors. If you add your name you will NOT recieve any kind of advirtisements or other solicitations, only update notices. To be added to the list, just send me your name and the email address you would like your mail sent to.
3.15.98 -Today I finally added the thumbnails for the movies page. Please let me know if there are any broken links. The TOS and TNG thumbnails will be up soon...hopefully!
3.11.98 -It's been a while, but I've finally got a few new things up. I added four new Voyager pictures (including images from "Scorpion" and "Year of Hell") as well as another pic of the Defiant in the Dominion war. Almost finished with the final thumbnails. New animations and pics are on their way.
2.11.98 -The Prometheus chart has been re-added and the orignal author has been credited. In fact, Jim Stevenson even sent along his upgraded version. The new starship charts from Adam have also been added. There is a brand new Color Dorsal version. Be warned, these charts are HUGE!
2.5.98 -The Romulan Interface has been added today. I took a slightly different twist with the view screen on this one. Hopefully, I'll have the Ferengi Interface done in a few more days and then I can get to work developing a Dominion, Vulcan and perhaps Vidiian design. I was also asked to remove the new Prometheus chart due to some conflicts over the original author. So, perhaps I'll get down to work on my own version...you never know. And finally, thank you to everyone who has written with your compliments and suggestions about the new interface system. Any comments are welcome!
1.30.98 -Added the Klingon Interface today and it should be working good. I also added the thumbnails (finally) to the DS9 and Voyager pages. The TOS, TNG and Movies thumbnails are finished, but just need to be uploaded. Hopefully those will be done within the next few days.
1.28.98 -Updated the Prometheus page after recieving some new information and a wonderful new chart. The chart is a black and white diagram of the top, side and front views; with a small shadow diagram of how the ship separates while in MVA mode. The Klingon Interface is almost done and should be up in a few days.
1.27.98 -It's been a while, but I think that it's worth it. I've just finished installing the first 3 of the 6 new interface terminals. There is the Federation terminal, which is simply the old Federation-style index page; the Borg terminal, which IMHO is the coolest of them all; and the Cardassian terminal. Romulan, Klingon and Ferengi terminals are partially completed, with Dominion, Vulcan and Vidiian designs on the drawing boards. I've decided to put off finishing the total conversion to thumbnails for a little while. But don't worry, I'll get everything done eventually. The new terminals can be accessed from the new index page. Just remember, I'm still working out the quirks of the image maps, so there may be one or two broken links and I just realized that the email buttons on the maps will not work with AOL. Come again soon for the final versions.
1.8.98 -Well, today I added one new Akira picture, as well as the new Prometheus-Class page. I know everyone is asking "What's the Prometheus-Class?" Well, it's a new class that will been seen on Voyager in two or three weeks. Let's just say it involves the EMH travelling to the Alpha Quadrant to rescue this new ship from the Romulans. This new ship utilizes quadra-nacelle warp drive, much like the Constellation-Class starship. I have screen shots, but no diagram just yet. I'm working on it. If you'd like to see if before the ep, it's the very last ship on the Starship page.
1.4.98 -Happy New Year! Well, I did not get quite as much done as I would have liked over the holiday season, but oh well. Today, I did add a great new color ship chart from Adam to the starship page. I also have some new Akira and Prometheus-Class (new class from Voyager) pictures that I should have up within a few days. Don't forget to visit the link page to see the new Sev Trek comic!
12.27.97 -Today I added a new twist to the LINKS page. The weekly Trek spoof, Sev Trek, now has a comic on that page. If you've never seen Sev Trek, you should really check it out, and then visit the Sev homepage, which you can link to from my link page. The comic automatically updates every Saturday, so visit often. The Voyager crew page has also been updated with new pictures of Seven (one season 4 crew pic, and another fully body shot of just her).
12.25.97 -MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Well, the only thing new today is a few new links added to the page. Look forward to quite a few new pics and other items in the next two weeks. I have the Upgraded Encyclopedia now, as well as TNG: The Continuing Missions, so there are a ton of new pics on their way. Happy Holidays and visit again soon.
12.19.97 -Today, I updated the Defiant page, replaced the links with thumbnails, and added 3 new pictures. The Alien page has also finally been completed (I kinda forgot about it). All of the alien species pics are up, as well as a new Alien Starship chart, created by Adam, of course. Hopefully, over the holiday break, I will be able to finish this whole thumbnail update. Thanks for your patience.
12.13.97 -Okay, ALL of the starship class pages are complete! I just put up the last of the pictures, including some brand new pics of the New Orleans Class starship (in color and official). There is also a new Star Trek vs. Star Wars pic on the Trekwar page. I have to warn Voyager fans, you may not want to see this one (ST isn't loosing, but they do suffer some casualties in this one). Hee hee. Watch for new Defiant pics within the next week or so, as well as all the new thumbnails. I'll keep you posted!
12.9.97 -Tonight I pretty much finished up the new starship pages. All of the pages work, but there are still a few pictures missing here and there (cheyenne, danube, peregrine, etc). Those should be up within a day or two. Beginning tommorrow, I will begin to replace the links on the other pages with thumbnails as well. It may take some time, so please be patient with me. If you haven't already, I highly recommend checking out the ship charts on the bottom of the main ship page. They are huge, but Adam did an excellent job!
12.8.97 -I know it's been forever since the last upgrade, but it will be worth it. Utopia is undergoing some major changes. The starship page has already been split up, to decrease download time, as well as add a ton of new classes, schematics and pictures. Over the next two weeks, all Utopia pages will have thumbnails instead of those annoying little links. The Starship pages are almost complete, although you will still find a few broken links and missing pictures. I will continue to post info on the update, hopefully daily. Thank you for your patience.
11.18.97 -Today, I have posted my own ship chart. It is in full color and contains starships current up through "Sacrifice of Angels." It includes the Centaur, Soyuz, Cheyenne (BoBW), New Orleans and all of the others. The only one I am missing is the new Olympic-Class schematic from the new Encyclopedia. If anyone has this pic (a nice color scan), please EM me. I would be happy to trade pics, sounds, etc.
11.16.97 -A new Trekwar picture has been added to that page. This one has a "fleet from Hell" kind of a feeling to it. You can definately tell I've been having too much fun with the pictures from the Captain's Chair CD-Rom. A updated New Orleans-class picture is on the starship page. It has been updated due to new information from the new Encyclopedia. A note to AOL members: please turn OFF the web graphics setting on you browser preferences. It only allows pictures to be viewed in 256 colors. Most of the pictures here are in thousands or millions.
11.14.97 -The new starship schematics for all four FC starship have been posted on the starship page. The older schematics, which were drawn by me, have been removed. If anyone has any interest in these, just e-mail. Look for Alien ship schematics soon as well as a fan-created starship page!
11.12.97 -Today I added the official Defiant deck chart as well as a 3-D cutaway of the Defiant. Click on the images on the Defiant page for larger pictures.
11.6.97 -In memory of Tora Ziyal, 2353-2373.
11.4.97 -Today I got the Updated Encyclopedia CD-Rom set. The OFFICIAL Akira and Norway-Class schematics have been posted. There are also new gifs of the Defiant's Quantum torpedo launchers, as well as updates starship charts. A dorsal and forward view of most of the ships has been added as well. Look for new pics and info within the new few weeks.
10.31.97 -Happy Halloween. Today I did not add anything new, but went back and updated information. The Q&A page has been updated, as has the Defiant page, the Movie page and the Review page. I've added a review of the new program ST: Captain's Chait to the Review page, and have used that program to find out some new information on the Enterprise-E and Defiant. If you have any questions, be sure to EM me.
10.19.97 -Okay. Finally. The Fleet Pic at the bottom of the starship page has been upgraded by it's original creator (Adam Heinbuch) and is fully acurate up to "A Call to Arms." I also added the correct diagram of the Sovereign-Class to this pic. It's about twice as big as it was before, because I know a lot of people asked for a more detailed version. There are also 3 new Defiant animations. One is another of the bridge, but this time it has a crew. The next is a tricorder, and the third is the Defiant's view screen as they go to warp. WARNING: The GIF page may take a few minutes to load. You can enter that page from the Defiant page.
10.10.97 -Right now, my main computer is off line. So I can't update my site just yet. But as soon as my computer is back together and running, there will be some new things added. I have a few new Defiant animations and some new pics. Check back in about a week for the new stuff.
9.23.97 -Today I added the new Game and Book review section. Send in your comments, suggestions, and reviews. The Q and A page IS updated now, and I have put the Renaissance and Surak-Class pics back up.
9.22.97 -Sorry guys, it's been a little hectic lately. Today I added upgraded schematics of all of the FC ships. I have completed a Game and Book review page, which should be up tomorrow or Wednesday. The Q and A page should also be updated within the next few days.
9.15.97 -Added a new Trek vs. Wars pic a few days ago. I finally got some more space, so I will be adding new pics of all the FC ships very soon. The Q and A page is also being updated. Keep the questions coming. And if I miss one of yours, please resend it. You know AOL, they tend to loose things.
9.9.97 -HAPPY B-DAY STAR TREK a day late. Today, I finally added the Norway and Yeager-Class diagrams to the page. The Yeager is the Voyager/Maquis graft seen on DS9. Unfortunately, because of lack of space, I had to remove the Renaissance and Surak-Class pictures. They will be up again by the end of the week. I haven't had any questions lately, so send them in!
9.7.97 -Added two new starship schematics of the Renaissance and Surak-Class starships. These conjuctural designs were done by Jackthered@aol.com, and were based on wreckage in "The Best of Both Worlds" TNG.
9.2.97 -Added four new Defiant animations. 3 are different warp animations, and the fourth is an animated deck chart, as seen in "Shattered Mirror." Don't forget to send your questions in!
8.31.97 -Added a new Defiant Animation page. Accessable through the Defiant page, this currently features animated GIF of the main bridge and engineering sections. They are both Defiant41 originals. The first questions and answers have also been posted on the QandA page. If you have any, make sure to E-mail me.
8.23.97 -Added new schematics of the Akira and Steamrunner-Class starship, thanks to Jackthered@aol.com. Also updated my link page.
8.20.97 -Added a new Enterprise-E deck chart, and a Starship Chart (at the bottom of the ships page) with scale pictures of a bunch of classes. Both of these pics were donated by Adam Heinbuch. The port schematic of the Norway-Class starship was added on the Starship page, and an animated Gif was also added to the Aliens and Starships page.
8.18.97 -Added this new "What's New" page. Completed the Crew page. It's pretty basic, but I will add more info and pics as time goes on. Added the beginning of the Alien and Alien Starships page. Right now it only has information on a few major alien and ships, and there are still no pics. I should have that completed by the end of the week. New pictures of the Akira, Steamrunner, and Norway-Class ships have bee added too. Come back soon, I update almost daily!
