Hello there! Welcome to Doc Roc's Valley of the Supermodels! This is a gallery featuring fine scale models of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comic book characters which I have assembled and painted. I hope to eventually expand to include such things as the pre-painted pieces that are available on the market now. Some talk about techniques and tools will probably be eventually added along with a discussion about vinyl, resin, and porcelain. But right now I'm going to be working on getting the models I have painted up on the page. Each gallery page includes a little about technique and some simple tips on how to make a hunk of plastic look cool. I've been a fan of sci-fi, horror, and superheroes all my life and it feels great to really see them in 3-D.. If you notice the dates, you can see that each model was a lesson in itself. I also recommend checking out Gremlins in the Garage (on the link page) which is the mecca of modelers. You can learn a lot there.

If you came here looking for babe pictures, I'm sorry to disappoint you (not really, but I felt I had to at least say it). Please try the nearest magazine, tv, movie, web site, or any other media of mass consumption. As a matter of fact, it's getting just really hard to avoid them now days. Can't even buy a cold brew anymore without some toothy buxom blonde staring at you from the display. The only women here are pure pigments of my imagination.

Many thanks and kudos to my wife, Margaret, who did my most excellent logo and is teaching me the mysteries of html. If you get a chance, check out her web site, Maggie's Cafe (again the link page). I promise you it is much more cooler than my site (at least for now, hehe).

Enter the gallery by clicking on the "Enter the Gallery" above, like you haven't figured that out by now. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. This site is best viewed using standard human vision, binocular not even needed as they are only two dimensional here. It should appear about the same with either MSIE or Netscape.

Oh, I almost forgot. A "resin head" is the slang term sometimes used for modelers, especially those who crave the rare and unusual kits. It has absolutely nothing to do with, nor does it imply, that our heads are made of wood or that we have the personality of a sequoia. It is, however, preferable to "glue sniffer".

Before you leave, please sign my guestbook.
I really would enjoy hearing from you.
Let me know I'm not alone here and I'll let you know when I update.
